hello banshee2raptor I have this same problem today, I have cut the red cable and the raptor comes back to life, now what is that red cable? Is it harmful to leave it like this? or nothing happens and I can be calm.
Hello, did the same thing happen to you as in the video? what is the red wire? I have the same problem and I have cut the red cable and it works. but what is the red wire?
I left my bike alone for two months no issues. When I went back to it it was completely off. I have two twins raptors. The battery is just fine but the bike makes no preignition sounds and does not light up as if the bike is dead. I checked most of the connectors and I do have power but still no electrical to start. No lights and no neutral lights have you ever had this. I ordered new stater rectifier and plug I’ve already replaced the fuse. I’m stuck
I have a 04 660r that only gets a single spark the moment I let off the start button. If I unplug the rectifier I get a great spark. Do you think it’s my stator? I don’t not have a solid red wire or n mine. Any tips to figure this out?
To be honest, I forget. It's been awhile since I messed with a 660. I'll check tomorrow when I get to the shop, but whatever fits. Just making sure that they are long enough..
I have had the same issue with my 04 raptor, did not have spark, I unplugged the round plug with the 3 white wires and regained ignition but no charging, was working on it today with everything plugged in as it should be and I have spark again and charging. Any ideas as to what maybe going on would be much appreciated, thanks for your time
Noticed one of the gears had a broken off tooth not sure if I did that somehow or what but do you think it’s not good to run? It’s broken very clean at the bottom of the tooth
@@tommyshakur9138 yes.,and really clean them good. I'm not saying you didn't, but it's really important to get ever little passage and piece clean clean clean clean... Especially on the 660!!
Not sure if you would know but my 06 700 will start but won’t rev I dropped it off they said it might be a bad wire harness or cdi does that sound right?
Hot_top, it's more than likely your brake safety switch. A video might help! I can talk you threw the steps to test it.. it's a very easy fix, if that's your issue.
There's a switch on the front brake and on the rear. Even if it's unplugged , it can still get crap in it and cause a faulse brake condition. I recommend finding the switches and make sure they are disabled correctly, or working correctly. This is a common issue with Yamaha in general..lol
Hay man i have a question to ask you I see you have some nice Raptors I have an 04 and it's running very poorly when it's cold it fires up and runs good but once it warms up it spits and sputters and cuts out and dies on me it seems like antifreeze is getting into my engine oil and when I pulled the spark plug out to check the spark it has good spark but it's not blue it's yellowish orangish doesn't seem right to me I feel like it should have a blue Spark any advice from anyone
Oh wow! I was just about to and buy a new ICM that increases RPM rev limit by 1000!? It said in the description check you stator first! I'm gonna do that first. What does the rectifier do then if it doesn't need to be plugged in?
dethinc1 The Rectifier/Regulator isn't the issue here, it's the Stator. Yes replacing the Stator would be ideal, but this will in most cases get you going until you can get a new Stator..
Anthony Mayhew we took out the spokes and painted them, actually powder coating. But check eBay or another site, there might be some out there. Good luck!!
Hey man, nice bike sounds damn good! I have almost an identical set up on my 2007. Same Leo Vince exhaust, so muffler box (baffle) and MJS headers. Also have the ECU flashed for the set up. Did you have stock headers or aftermarket ones in this video? Thanks !
Broski I'm High , Thanks, It's a stock head pipe with the MJS and Leo Italia slip on. I've done a bunch of mods since but, haven't put up a new video in awhile on it..lol
Broski I'm High , At the moment, the exhaust, a BAUCE RACING flash with custom mapping and tuning,BMC air filter, AGG block off plates, BAUCE RACING suspension tune, Pilot power 3 2ct tires, 3 piece Leo Vince carbon fiber/cevlar engine covers, GYTR rear cowl, puge windscreen, Woodcraft frame slides, Woodcraft fork sliders, Woodcraft rear spool's, Motodynamics plug n play integrated tail light and flush mount with running lights.. there's more but that's off the top of my head..
