How To Clinical Research is a channel that teaches and discusses all things research. This channel is for the clinical research professional that either works on the site level, CRO level, or the sponsor level which encompasses biotech and pharmaceutical companies. In each episode I will provide guidance based on my professional experiences to help others in this industry. The goal is to educate and bring together many research professionals in an effort to make this industry more mainstream. I also want to help make known what is standard in this industry and what is not because companies and other research professionals have poor communication across the industry leading to many inefficiencies. Join me in starting these conversations.
Hi. I liked this video a lot because I can now understand how much effort goes into an interview process and the way you broke down the interview process . I wish you uploaded more videos. Thanks and Good luck.
Hi, My name is Dr. Shachi Jagrit, I have done my MBBS and MD in Pharmacology. Currently working as a medical monitor at Lambda (CRO). What are my chances of getting a job in usa and how should I apply (at what level)? Thanks & regards.
Hey. Your videos r very informative. I am a medical doctor from outside USA, I m having more then 10 years experience in medical profession, have participated in many researches. After getting a clinical research certificate course from US universities Can I work as a clinical research doctor in USA? Would really appreciate for your answer and guidance. Thanks.
Hi sir, I did my graduation in clinical research and i also have 8 month experience as a clinical research coordinator on site. Can i able to get the job in usa ?
Hi Eric, I have 1 and half year experience as CRC in site and now I am working as CTA in reputed sponsor company in india. Can you guide me to get job in USA.
Hi thank you for this video. I have a question about informed consent, would a patient need to sign off on an ICF prior to being screened and blood samples collected for the study?
I would not recommend what you are recommending to anyone dear to me. Dress to impress? And all of that to get a yes? That’s half the battle. Why don’t you start with the minimum exp required in research before CRA and leave the dress code for later in the video. Why would you want anyone monitoring something that they have never done before on the investigator side? I have seen people going through that stress. Plus they will not have the basics. Even for CTA these days they ask a minimum of 2-3 years. None of these core points seem to be an important point in your video.
Good morning, I am an Egyptian chemist working in a cosmetic factory and I want to be a Clinical researcher , Can you advice me to start in that career in US or Europe ??
I have my 4 years bachelor's degree in pharmacy from India. Do i have to pursue any further studies to get into this field in USA ? N if yes den can u suggest me any course and college ? I'll be receiving my green card soon.
education is not necessarily required beyond having a bachelors. A bachelors of science is most preferred. It's important you work with an immigration lawyer to ensure you do things properly so that you can apply for jobs.
@@ErikLombere thanks for your response. May I ask you which all companies are good to start with at an entry level and which position should I apply for ?
This was very helpful, Thank you. I am a CRC and I have applied for a Remote Site Monitor position within my company. I have wanted this position for a while now. I just applied a few days ago and have not heard back again. However, I have been receiving tips from a co-worker who transitioned into this role. I do know the interview process is roughly around 2 hours. I was informed of a few questions that might be asked. One of those questions is a very routine interview question, I believe and would seem easy to answer. However, I have always struggled with this one. “Why do I want this position?” I have been trying to practice the answer to that. Incorporating my experience working with monitors, but my answer seems more of a ramble and I can’t quite make it to the point. I was wondering if you could give some guidance for this particular question? Thank you!
This answer should be specific to you. For instance, if I were to answer this question I would state that not only would it help advance my career and provide experience in an area that would help improve my skillsets but it also allows me to live anywhere since it's remote and I require this since I invest in real estate. When I purchase properties, I must move into them for a year while renovating them and I cannot have a job that prevents this.
I'm a pharma gradute sir in a cro company who will became CEO of that company in along term process as it self clinical research organisation I think CRA or clinical trail manger will be as main thing for cro or else any other domine will become CEO of cro please????
Hello Sir, thanks for the good information. I am working as a site management coordinator at pre clinical level in IQVIA. What are my opportunities in USA. I have an experience of 2 years.

Hi Can I please ask you - How do you best answer this: -What do you do if you are monitoring a study and despite repeated efforts cannot get in touch with the PI? - my ans: Document the communication attempts that have been made (email telephone letter), what the site says (CRC; PM) regarding the PI’s availability, contact the CO-I, sub-I or Medical Monitor to get a solution to your need. Is there anything else? 🙏
Hello! Great video…I`m from Brazil, graduated in pharmacy with a post grad in clinical research and I work in the area since 2007. My plan was to apply for a EB2 NIW visa since I`ve been told that most CROs and Pharmas do not offer work visas anymore. Is it true? Do you think I can get a job offer here in BR to facilitate my I-140 approval?
Hi sir .. I have an experience in clinical research as clinical research coordinator. I am from India .I am willing to work in USA..I kindly request you to kindly help me and guide
Could you please tell me what are some possible differences between CRAs working for CRO and those who work for a sponsor? Thank you so much in advance!
It’s the same job however CRO’s are more likely to have you work on multiple protocols from different sponsors. You also will be taking direction from the sponsors in additions to your manager on the CRO level. CRO’s may also use you for monitoring while on the sponsor level the monitoring is usually dedicated to the field monitors which is separate from the in house CRA’s
