It's pretty symbolic of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. He shed His blood to forgive our sins and give us salvation, love, hope, new life... and yet, people reject Jesus till this day. Tragic.
had this in an exam 2day but they cut off the part when the student found the rose and gave it to the girl and then threw the rose away like srsly that's the part where they ask about the moral and stuff
I read this story when I was little. It was so sad, and the nightingale was so good. She was my favorite character in Oscar Wilde's stories. I didn't know then that the point of the story was selfless sacrifice. It's sad the young man thought love was silly, when it's people who twist its meaning around. I liked your animation. It's nice, like a moving storybook.
He says, "She has beautiful notes in her voice" (he is referring to the Nightingale), "but she thinks only of her music - she is like all artists, so selfish". He cannot understand that she (the Nightingale) really loves him, just as the Girl is unable to understand that he loves her.
