I got a 2013 CT. Normally I change my cars every 3 years, but it still soldiers on, and I love the car. Warning! Parts for a premium car is.......premium prices, and the selection of none OEM parts for the CT are smaller than a Prius.
Looking for answer - can’t find it. Why during Regen voltage of a battery reach red zone - over 260-270 V at nominal 201.6 V (harder I brake higher voltage). Why voltage regulator is not limiting the voltage (like in regular alternator system)?
I don't know of any multi meter that puts out the several amps necessary to ignite an airbag squib, plenty of videos on YT showing that multimeters don't set the squib off. On older cars where used airbags are cheap and you've checked wiring and the fault is highly likely the airbag unit itself it's not a big deal to check the squib resistance or any internal earth fault with a multimeter, just be sensible about doing it ( ear defendersafety squints , secures airbag keep your distance.
THANK YOU, I've been scouring the Internet trying to figure out what's actually going on under the hood of these things, and this is a great teaching tool!
Please add a method to check the gap on clutches where the pulley extends over the gap. I think the broken clutch you showed was of that variety. I bent my feeler gauge at a 90 degree angle (using the copper feelers since the steel one broke) to check the gap, but still difficult to tell if I getting the right size.
Hey- great video. I've got a 2010 RR S/C 5.0L, 97k miles. Today the check engine light illuminated (truck running fine), and when I scanned I got both the P0171 & P0174 code (permanent). Does getting both codes at the same time direct me to anything specific? I've had MAF codes before, but not this time. (I cleaned them 6 months ago.) ?
I just got the similar car that you are demonstrating an oil change on. This help me out a lot on how to do it on this car. Also reading the handbook I need to what best oil for me as I live in a climate from -40 degrees to +40 centigrade. Looks like the most important thing is do not over-tight the oil filter casing and oil plug.
Do I have to pinch off the hose coming off my radiator neck, leading to the overflow bottle, to build vacuum in the system? There’s new coolant in it. Also, should I drain that also, before I put vacuum on the system? I have an Acura ILX, 2021, and the OEM spill proof funnel just isn’t doing the job, of getting all the air out. I bled the system with that funnel for 3 days, and I’m still getting air, so I purchased a kit off Amazon. Thanks👍
Removing the CD player for a cheap Chinese tablet is a serious downgrade with absolutely no benefits. I recommend just using your phone/tablet/laptop with a Bluetooth receiver. You don't even need a receiver as all computers can act as one with the right software: they can accept a Bluetooth sound input and output it to the aux.
I have Volkswagen 08 rabbit manual no start no crank good battery good alternator good starter still no crank all the lights inside and out music comes on... When I turn the key to the start position I don't hear the throttle body or see the fans coming on nor does it crank
having the smoke on hard acceleration , lean codes , bad fuel consumption and gear slipping , on a 2010 hse , a mechanic was saying i need a pcv and acting like it was doom and gloom and to junk the car , he just drove it around the block car is absolutely fine... only to find out its a under $50 fix, i think he was just hating
6:48 What happened to the wire that was plugged at the bottom next to the white one, I didnt see that get used with the new head unit, is it just unused?
@@AutoScholarwithMrB Amazing, thanks for clarifying. I just recently got one of these the other day + the after market antenna cable, following this video saved much stress. Love what you're doing.
Great video. I have the same brake system but own a Seat Ateca. The workshop manual says torque the pins to 25 Nm (not 35 as you’ve said and another similar video on here). What should I follow?
I have not been able to find the generations on the ct200h. I found a 2014 ct200h with 60k so of course I bought it. There’s hundreds of forums with chatter of the head gasket. I was told get 2015+ then I read no, it’s 2014+ Can anyone confirm if the 2014 was prone for the reported head gasket issue? When I did my research on this year it said the car had an 8% report in major repairs. And when I looked at it and compared it to the years before, this number was low. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM IF MY 2014 WILL BE COSTING ME THOUSANDS BC OF THE HEAD GASKET? 😢😢😢😢 I love this car.
My 2011 Insight with 148k miles has the P1448 code but I checked the fuse and it was good. Should I still replace the fan even if the fuse isn't blown?
I am doing the brakes on my mother in laws 05 Buick LeSabre. Brake bleeding, I've done many times thru ther years. Why get so hung up on one person bleeding of the brakes? Go to Home Depot buy the clear tubing, drill a couple holes in a plastic bottle, gravity feed clean fluid, and wait for the whole process, watch the air bubbles in the clear tubing, yata, yata, yata? Geezzzzzzzz, can't we just rely on your wife, or neighbor friend, or relative, or another able bodied person, and dictate..."pump down, hold" loosen the zerk fitting to allow air to escape, close the zerk fitting, then repeat? Why get so hunng up on doing it yourself? It's such a pain the the butt, just recruit someone to give you 10 minutes of their time! Unless you're such a nerd, that nobody wants to be married to you, and your neighbors think you're a horse's ass, or you live on a mountain top in Montana. If you just ask someone, and they say, "screw you"...then go to plan B.
