It bends in one direction but bending is not same as one-way slab as one slab bends in shorter directions therefore we provide main reinforcement in shorter directions while in case of stairs it bends in longer directions.

About anchorage or development of the main bars and distribution bars in the footing: if the calculated length of the Ld is too long for the space available in the footing, the bsr is bent up at 90° at the corner. What if even after the bend, the Ld length calculated is still too long for the space available?
