Nice lure,I have 2 advices,I think that middle point eyelet hook wire should be little more towards back of the lure,for example if lure is 20cm long middle hook should be around 8cm from back or 12 cm from front,,and you can use superglue and baking soda to fill the wire gap,but this hardens more so it is harder to sand it. One of the best and most consistent drop shot style lures that i've used for years. We have had Perch, Double figure Pike, Cod & Wrasse on them. Very durable lures that are very easy to rig with a great action, highly recommended guys!!!
Sorry to bother you Sir, I'm new to lure fishing, so was wondering what size of hook/jig head you where using with the White HTO French Fry please? Absolutely stunning video.
No bother at all buddy, always happy to answer questions. The jighead is a 1.5gram with a size 8 hook. I find 1.5gm jigheads easy to work in a shallow river, for a deeper river i would use a heavier jig head. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
I finally got around and made this. My colours are slightly different as I don't have the same paints and I'm not as good as you. However, it cuts through the water with awesome movement, and a lot of fun to make! Thanks!

I need to buy a new opinel knife. Feel the need to get back carving some spoons watching you. I'm guessing non fruiting lime wood. My favourite I ever carved was Holly. Nearly no grain, very white and felt like plastic when finished so smooth. I liked that lure. Your good. Videos getting slick too.
Man, I'm so happy for you Jake. Congratulations on the new job! I hope it will be a wonderful career for you. We also call Lime wood, Linden. I've never has the pleasure of working with it, but I hear that it is similar to Basswood. Nice job on the lure, looks great and super action!
Thanks so much Mike! Its a long shift in one of the biggest tackle shops in the UK, but I love every minute 😊. I was pleasantly suprised with the wood, tough, a little more time consuming to work but overall good stuff.
Хорошая работа! Только я считаю,что необходимо ещё покрыть эпоксидной смолой. Нужна большая прочность при ловли судака. Он может раздавить воблер своим укусом. Для форели - нормально!👍
Спасибо! Он был покрыт УФ-смолой, достаточно прочной для форели и окуня, но я согласен, недостаточно прочной для судака или щуки. Для этого я обычно использую более твердую древесину или полиуретановую смолу. Спасибо за просмотр!
