Hi, I'm Eri! This is my life and passion in South Florida! I love rare fruits of all kinds and have made it my goal in life to not only grow these rare fruits but also share them with the world. I have transformed my backyard into a food forest and invite you all to explore the world of exotic fruits with me!!
Hello, thank you for a nice video! After successful pollination, does the female flower still turn into a male or not? If it does, can you still collect pollen from it? Do you store the pollen in a refrigerator? Thank you
@@ceciliavaldes2126 you wanna brake a petal so you know you pollinated it , I don’t mess with them if it’s not a must…yes you can save pollen but it does start to mold after a while so try to quickly use it up when you have an opportunity.
@@SoulSeeker770 I think the best bet is to graft it if you want to get the same exact fruit 🍎as the mother tree. But many people have great success with the seedling trees as well. I planted seeds from this one but they still haven’t bore fruit to tell you exactly if it’s pretty similar to the mother’s tree fruit or not. My guess it would be probably pretty close to the Mother tree fruit 🍎.
@@SoulSeeker770 try to plant another Annona (or more) next to it if you can . Put some fruit leftovers time to time around the trees 🌳 to attract the natural annona pollinator insects and keep them alive and happy throughout the year . They love full sun ☀️ & will bring in more fruit in those locations , I also use moringa tree chop and drop on them and they look pretty happy after it breaks down and feeds them. I use bubblers on them and ton of mulch …
Hi, is Cherry Rio Grand , is it better than savanna cherry?.. any idea 💡 I am planning to plant one ASAP, before that i am collecting some feedback. Thanks
@@chessman483 chickens 🐓 like nearly everything so I can imagine they may will enjoy it … not sure how good is for them though. Eight trees 🌳 you will have a ton of fruit my friend:)!
I have many Rollinia trees, 3 years. In the winter season December. It’s cool 30 F , they have 3 flowers and can’t be fruit because so cold. Untill now no any flowers. I m curious why they have no flowers?
Try to increase humidity by spraying on the leafs before the sun ☀️ rises , water 💦 regularly, they don’t like dry feet at all . Use a lots of organic mulch around it away from tree trunk though.
@@mariap.894 you sound like my husband ha ha 😆… this one is actually very different from the regular Jackfruit , Champadek style , very soft melts like butter in your mouth and reminds me to Durian with Jackfruit flavor .
@@christophermachado5187 some years can be rough , I almost gave up a couple years ago , it was keep dying back loosing all the fruits during winter , then came back at soring summer … but winter was mild last year thank God!:)
@@PlantsAmore yes. Mine survived last winter as well. Coldest night here was 38 which will cause serious damage on my trees but since I have a microclimate everything were fine. Thank God!
Hi beautiful lady - seems that you r beautiful cos u consume fresh n delicious fruits... I have a few questions: how many varieties of custard apples there are, because the only ones i've ever had were green slightly pinkish...
@@genkigenko2546 Hi there, thank you, I am growing three different varieties of these , one is the pink red flesh , gorgeous specimen, the other one is the Fernandez variety, at least it was sold as Fernandez I believe, and the third one is a white creamy color absolutely delicious, they all taste a bit different. As for how many variety out there is hard to tell. I absolutely love this fruit though . Really like spooning out dessert 🍨.
@@PlantsAmore Thanks for your reply... I prefer nature produce rather than man crossed varieties: for example the atemoya which is man intervention is less nutritious than sweet sop(atte in french) and cherimoya from which it was derived... May your farm continue to make people around you more healthy n happy!🌴🥑🥭🍒
Planted 3 trees 6 years ago my wife told me “you don’t have to do anything” ..true if you have the right beetle and environment for their life cycle. This year I did exactly what this lady recommended and finally have so many I’m thinning them out. Thanks!!!
Glad it worked out :), I haven’t had much time between kids homeschooling to hand pollinate but like you mentioned because of the system already in place still have enough to taste and even share with friends and family. But hand pollination still our best bet .
