Hello I am Leo the owner of this channel. I am a trainspotter on the Portsmouth Mainline and I go over the southwest, southeast and south. Basically the whole of the south London network. I also trainspot with my good friend Ehis and Max. I also make Roblox train video's too.
For my main videos I use the Panasonic HC-V180, for my photography I use the Nikon D3200 and in that short I used my Samsung S7 which was the only phone I had at the time. Srry for an essay lol.
All you trainspotters will hate me for this - but for me and the thousands of other long suffering commuters who've put up with these relics from the past, the sooner they're gone the better. I remember the 455s coming in to service, and yes they were an improvement on the slam door stock they replaced. But that was 40 plus years ago. The 455s aren't big enough to cope with modern passenger volumes, and their total lack of effective ventilation (and I do mean TOTAL lack) means they're an oven from May to October. We've been promised new trains for years. We were briefly treated to some class 707s but they've now seemingly gone. So for all you sentimental dewy eyed spotters sorry - but when the 455s go it will be good riddance to bad rubbish. They're not fit for modern purpose.
I guess that's fair enough but its just so nostalgic to still see these trains working the services that they worked when they first entered service and the fact that their being replaced with cardboard boxes built by Bombardier and Alstom is just sad 😓
@@Leoliontrains I hear you - and I get the nostalgia. I'm not a train buff but I do look back at the slam door stuff and somehow fondly remember what appeared to be a ship's wheel in the window of the driver's cab!! But these days my heart sinks every time I look up at an indicator board that says "..an SWR service which has 8 coaches.." That means here comes a cramped, hot 455. Again.
