Marlo always thought he was smarter than he really was and by not giving avon the respect he deserved shows exactly why he could never be smarter than avon and got sonned
Marlo and Andre have known each other since kindergarten, and grew up in the same schools. Andre was much bigger than Marlo in elementary school, and used to pick on him. Now, the roles are reversed.
The best part , with the door shut and Bird yelling, "Argh you fat f*ck ", you know for a fact it was Landsman who got the first punch in - for Bird insulting him earlier .
Interesting irony about the sign outside the door about not leaving the prisoner unattended, then in season 4 bubblez if left unattended and we saw what happened
Marlo's idea to go down to the street corners and "let them know" wasn't his smartest idea. The damage was done, protesting about it would only remind people that he hadn't "stepped to"
Method man said his so called rapper friends were jealous he was on the wire asking how he got on the show ?And I was like they forgot freddo star was bird 😅
Watching this series again after so many years, I think it was a mistake for Avon to get so angry at Stringer trying to clean the money or take it legit. That should have been encouraged. Mistakes happen, you learn from them. Avon was right here though.
One of the few times speaking up and questioning authority was the smart thing to do . Slim knew that killing Davis would have jepordised the whole Barksdale Organisation. It also highlights just how fragile Stringer Bell's ego is . He knows that killing Davis would bring the FBI to their door, but he can't accept that someone got the better of him.
1:00 “Up in this bitch here, I’m what you might consider an authority figure.” Come to think of it i feel Avon was talking about the position of the head of the table, not the jail lol
Interesting thing: Stringer ordering Slim to kill Clay Davis and in background Locked Up by Akon. It almost like prophetic song that could shows Stringers destiny if Avon didnt show up.
