Awesome to hear that Venus-zu1so ! That’s awesome to hear that you want to become pro one day !! But just remember I always try to focus on skateboarding for the love of it. There’s always money and getting sponsors but if you do it because you’re passionate about it then the money and sponsors will come ! It takes a lot of hard work to get to the sponsors! It takes time and dedication but definitely keep it as a goal and that would be my advice. Like i still believe I could get sponsored but it’s not my main goal with skateboarding. There’s a lot more to it for me than just that. But definitely keep practicing and enjoy the ride sounds like you’re young and have your whole skate career ahead of you ! 🤛🛹 Thanks for the comment !! Comment whenever !!
Yeah I believe that is okay because once you put the wheel on the truck axe holds the bearing spacer inbetween the bearings and in the middle of the wheel. But glad this video helped and thanks for checking it out gregbey9237 🙏! Please ask any more questions if you want !! And have a good day and hope those bearing spacers are working out good for you !! 🛹🤛
@@juniorfuentes8666 Wow I never thought that could happen! Thanks for pointing that out. I definitely like keeping them in there because it seems like the washers help the bearings spin smoother. But I have definitely skated without them before or missing one or two. But nice skate insight about skate washers. And they definitely don’t make skate trucks like they used too. But thanks again for the comment 🙏! And comment again when ever!! 🤛🛹
Absolutely ShunsukaK1 !! So glad you found this how to Fakie for beginners on a skateboard tutorial!! Definitely gives you the insight for transitioning all your weight back the way you came fakie down the ramp backwards the way you came! But thanks again 🙏!! Comment again! And keep that progression and practice up!!! 🛹🤛
Yeah absolutely!! I saw that on RU-vid! And I am glad you found the other video I made about doing a fakie becuase that fakie video goes way more in depth then this one. But thanks for the comment. And so glad this helps. And yeah it’s all about letting your weight go backwards and turning your head the way you came from !! But let me know how those fakies are going now ? Once you get them you’ll get rolling down ramps and kickturns, dropping in and maybe rock to fakies. But hope the skateboarding goes well and comment whenever !! Glad you finally found this how to Fakie for beginners video !! 🛹🤛 Happy skateboarding!! And comment again !
Yeah chloeeeytube1517. Yeah this primo trick is definitely one of the most fun ways to start learning how to stand in a primo stand! Glad that this video helped you. And i have recently been doing primo stalls again but I need to learn how to do the flip out again. It’s definitely a downward flick and as long as you have your foot in the right spot it usually flips smoothly! But definitely comment again and have fun doing primo flips! 🛹
Hey markmontalvo3097, I don't live in South Bethlehem but I do skateboard lessons at the skatepark there. I am like 35 minutes away from there. But let me know if you're looking for a skateboard lesson? And thanks for reaching out!!🛹🙏
Thanks goprokid6000 🙏 The Red Hot Chili Peppers are awesome!! And I still have that skateboard and I actually forgot about this short of doing the shuv out with my Andy Anderson board. But thanks for the comment and I am glad you liked the tricks. I am about to go skateboard now actually But def comment again. And thanks !!🤛
I did this last Wednesday and snapped my ankle/bruised my foot 🥴 I in fact could not “get up and try it again” 😂 but I look forward to it as soon as I can! :D ooou that rhymed too 🫨
Sorry to hear that iamFracture ! I hope you are healing up fast. And getting over injuries is all about skateboarding. Being able to come back once you are ready to come back and getting back on the skateboard is important. I have had my share of injuries from skateboarrding and messing up an ankle is a tough one. But you will be back ! And I focus a lot on warming up and doing stretching exercises now that I am 34. But you got it. i am going to try to do some exercises now so I can go practice my flip tricks. But Thanks for the comment and I hope to hear you are back on your skateboard soon, And definitely comment again🙏🛹🤛
@@SkateTutorsLLC Much love man! And I’d be glad to tell you that I am indeed healing up quite well 😎 I can’t skate just yet because I do still have slight swelling and soreness so it just wouldn’t be ideal of course. But I’m splint free! And can’t wait to get back on my board man I tell ya I’ve been ITCHING to skate 😂 I’ve been skating since I was about 14 but stopped for about 5 years when I was around 21 now I’m 26 and finally getting back into it and literally within my first 4 sessions back I SNAP MY ANKLE! 🤣 but it’s alright.. I know that’s just part of the game and that’s what makes my love for the sport continue to grow more and more. I’m sure I’ll master that kickflip after a while and many more tricks I may have never done before even as a teen back in the day. I hope you enjoy your session man and I’ll be sure to check out more of your channel, much love all the way from Baltimore Maryland 🤙
@@iamFracture Glad you are healing up and that is unfortunate it happeened to you only 4 days back in. But it's probably because you are getting use to skating again. And you are still so young. You have plenty of time to get back into skateboarding and get good! I tore my ACL at age 29 and had surgery at age 30 and it has been a come back journey since and I thought my skate career would be over. But I belive when you get injured skating it as all about doing the physical rehab to get back and get your body stronger when you come back which helps me prevent injuries at a older age. But so glad to hear that motivation to get back on the skateboard. And now days there are so many skateparks and trainer skate tools you can use to get better. And there are some good videos on RU-vid but there are a lot of bad one too. So you got to be careful with finding the right tutorials. But I am sure you will come back stronger man. And I am in Pennsylvania not to far from Baltimore. I have been there once. And the sesson went pretty good. Worked on flip tricks, manuals, and curb tricks. Keep up the good work and let me know when you get back to skating? And comment when ever! 🤛
@@SkateTutorsLLC Right on man 🤙 will do and that’s so cool how close we are within the states who knows if I ever come out to PA and get a skate sesh in maybe I’ll bump into you. Cause I’ll definitely be getting back on that board soon as I can after I properly heal so I do re-injure myself again haha I bet Pennsylvania has some sick spots to skate too! Keep shredding man and I sincerely appreciate all the vices you’ve shared 😎 God bless
@@iamFracture yeah man! We’ll have to get a skate session in at some point! And no problem! I am glad to always be a help. And you’ll be back before you know it! And Pennsylvania has some spots like in Philly and other smaller cities. But the Cities and communities are building more skate parks. like in Reading Pennsylvania one just opened and it’s huge i went last week! It was so cool. So we definitely have a good amount of skateparks between Pennsylvania and New Jersey too. But yeah God Bless and heal up soon! Talk to you at some point. 🤛!!!
Yeah RammsIYT I definitely understand why it can be terrifying to shift all your weight backwards. But it defintely helps to turn your head back the way you came which helps you shift your wieght backwards. Also always start on a small hill and go reallt slow at first. And as long as you got your helmet and pads on and you have your understanding of how to get on and off the skateboard you will get it. You just have to get over that feeling of awkwardness of going backwards. And also being confident so your body stays loose is key. But once you are ready to commit to it you will get it. But thanks for the comment. And you can ask a question when ever you want and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks again and good luck skateboarding 🛹!
Yeah turning can be hard at first ! If you learn how to push and ride the skateboard and get on and off that will help you learn turning a lot more quickly!! I have a video that breaks down the basics of skateboarding for beginners and if you fellow the steps in this video you will be doing S turns before you know it! Thanks for the comment ! Appreciate you sharing this and here is the video that will help you Master turning 👉ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jzeT9si1U9k.htmlsi=Gtfd421dIVWU_yMA
Hi novice question. They mentioned in the early part of this video about freestyle boards. Are their different boards for different styles of skateboarding? If i was interested in just learning to ride on the cement and do tricks on flat land am i going to look for a freestyle board?
Yeah free style board are definitely smaller than street style skateboards! And the wheels are met to go primo more and I believe it’s easier to balance primo (on the tricks sideways ) than a normal skateboard! And the wheels are meant to go over the truck nuts so the truck nuts don’t hit the ground when you do primo stands. And freestyle is awesome! I would check out all the different styles of skateboarding because I like to learn a bit of everything! And I would love to get into freestyle more ! Getting older I def probably will! Also I think the popularity of it is coming back. There are so really great new free style skateboarders and there are still free style skate competitions! So definitely a creative route to go down with freestyle! So let me know how it goes ! And I’ll have to get a free style board to once I get some extra cash. I might try to practice some this winter! But yeah let me know how it goes and appreciate your the comment!! 🤛💪🛹
Yeah Frommars !! It is easy to do! But once you fix your normal push you can always challenge yourself to learn how to switch push ( push the opposite way) and then you might have the same problem! So you just have to practice balancing on one foot with your front foot and you can learn to push either way ! But thanks so much for the comment! I really appreciate it! Have an awesome time skateboarding 🛹 and comment again !! 🙏👍🤛🛹
Thank you loadedstrap!! I definitely put some time and effort into making this the most simple how to do a Kickturn on flat ground for beginners skateboarding tutorial I could possibly make ! 📽️ I feel like if anyone watches this video you can figure out how to do kickturns because the key is getting them on flat ground and once you get them they lead to kickturns on flatbanks and quaterpipes ! Also it helps learning those tic tax’s also! But so glad the video helped! Definitely an awesome comment 🤛👍🛹 ! And please comment when ever you want !! Have fun skateboarding 🛹
Also thank you so much for these comments! I really appreciate you sharing this! I think it’s so cool you’re hyped about getting better. Progressing in skateboarding is one of the most amazing things in life and you’re going to be great !! Keep up the practice and let me know how it goes ! Comment when ever and have fun skateboarding 🛹!! 🙏🤛
I just started skateboarding. The only thing I’ve been taught is bend ur knees and keep ur weight on ur front foot (longboard). Now it’s got me hooked. I tried going down a Venice beach ramp and fucked my knees all the way up, but I got it! And I can’t wait to go back with knee pads! 😅but it’s fun asfk and these videos r helpful
That’s awesome the videos are helping you out and great job about getting back on your skateboard and being hyped to practice more!! That’s what’s it’s all about !! Just learning the fundamentals and everything from there is so much fun. And a lot of people like to give advice and it’s usually the same thing. But if the person is a skateboard instructor they probably have some good advice. And pads definitely help build your confidence when you’re leaning. And that stinks you messed your knees up but so glad you went back and got the roll in on the flatbank! That’s so awesome!! That’s what it’s Al about ! Getting back on your skateboard after you get thrown off it ! 💪🛹 ! And rolling down a flatbank is all about getting enough speed with your pushing and getting your front foot to pivot so you can get into riding stance and then committing to transferring your weight forward to your front foot when the front wheels go down the down part of the flatbank. And it’s always good to learn how to bail off the board and run down the ramp if you loose your balance when you’re going down. And that is so cool you live near Venice because I love that place ! i got to go there once and it’s amazing! I am sure there are tons of great skaters there ! So just focus on what you’re doing with the basics and you’ll be great! And I don’t know if you saw this tutorial about going down flatbanks for beginners so here it is 👉ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fUI3bbQQdGU.htmlsi=l3pW0z20YRhTp31F
@@SkateTutorsLLC thanks for responding! So turns out it was a half pipe 😅 I still got it though! But maybe I should have started on the flat bank 😂😂😂 thanks for more great advice. When I subconsciously angled my shoulder downward (the physical indicator that I’m committing) it made the ride so much smoother and of course I didn’t fall off so it made it hurt less. Committing=less pain, HEARD
@@katherinenewman960 Oh it was a halfpipe. But yeah it is all about figuring out the transition of a ramp or quaterpipe or bowl before you go for a drop in. But that is all good! Some times you just want to go for it. But glad to hear you are getting it down. And I am always happy to help, I apprecaite the skate insight of what problems you are dealing with and I am glad to be a help. But skateboarding is definitely mental and all about getting yourself in the right mindset before you get our on the skatepark. But keep up the practice and you will be in great skateboard shape before you know it. If you are not already there. I am about to go stretch and practice some flip tricks. Comment again soon and I will talk to you then ! 🤙 🛹
Yeah each Andy Anderson skate deck has its own feel but they are kinda similar. And this one is hard getting used to the square tail and triangle shaped nose but definitely has tons of foot room if you have be If feet. And it was a very awesome skateboard but I definitely like the Heron 2 the best so far. I have skated that Andy Anderson board the most. I have not tried the newest one yet but I am excited to try it! But thanks for the comment ! And I hope you get to try the Andy Anderson board !! 👍🛹🤛
no skaters use bearing spacers. im talking 0 pros use them. if that isnt proof enough that they are bad they give you aids on top of everything else bad they do. you have been warned
Thanks Stug138 🙏 And I have not but I definitely really want to try them out at some point and also Andy Anderson’s new skate deck also looks sick! But I’ll let you know if I get the shoes and I’ll have to do a review of them !! Thanks again for the awesome comment !! 🤛💪🛹
hi !! so i just started skateboarding and i can ride pretty well, but whenever im riding and i stand sideways i lose speed really fast and have to kick a lot more than usual. any tips ?
Yeah matthieu9246 that’s awesome you’re becoming a skateboarder! It’s all about learning how to balance really well when you’re in your pushing stance. Sometimes you have to practice like standing in a pushing stance stationary and practice balancing on one leg. Also being able to pivot your foot when you go from pushing to riding stance and also go from riding stance to pushing! This video goes into detail of how to do that if you want to check it out ! Thanks for the comment and good luck. Ask a question at any time if you need too here’s the link tor the video 👉ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jzeT9si1U9k.htmlsi=z7GO-lbgKFNveqYd
@@SkateTutorsLLC thanks so much for all the advice!! i tried it out on my new skateboard since the one i was using was 10 + yrs old and it worked perfectly !!
Yeah Sky really put on a show. I thought she would of got a higher score but crazy to do that with a dislocated shoulder. But thanks for the comment 🙏! And I am excited to watch her again when the Olympics come to LA.
Been really enjoying your videos. A lot of channels skip over things that are this beginner focused. I ended up tearing my rotator cuff from riding fakie down a bank and I’ve been terrified since lol.
Thanks RammsIYT ! This comment is so awesome! And sorry to hear about that injury. And I have torn my ACL skateboarding 🛹 trying a kickflip down a gap and destroyed my knee and had to get surgery. So it’s been a journey back and God has gave me an opportunity to get better at skateboarding and compete ever since I had my surgery and I have been on this recovery come back streak for the past four years. So getting back on the horse is what skateboarding is all about. And your comment is a reflection of why I started this channel to help people master the most basic fundamentals of skateboarding! Thanks for recognizing that and I plan to get even more deeper into the beginner basic skateboarding videos in the next month so I can help as many people start skateboarding around the world. 🌎! And I really happy your are back on your board and keep going and go at your own pace. Skateboarding is becoming a beautiful thing around the world now. And I really appreciate you and this comment. So get back on that horse and go get it !! 🙏👍🛹💪🤩🌎
Absolutely!! I hope you got too see the women’s park event ! I still need to watch the finals ! But definitely was so happy for Sky Brown for getting the Bronze medal 🥉 again ! She is so amazing at skateboarding 🛹
Awesome Buzzing0 ! I hope you got a chance to check out the skateboarding in the Olympics in Paris 2024. I think the men’s Park skateboarding ended today. But there will be a lot of replays coming up. I am hoping they put a lot of the skate footage on RU-vid so everyone in the world can see skateboarding on a world stage. So it definitely should be free to watch the replays. We will see what the Olympics does with the skate footage. But thanks for the comment. 🙏🛹🤛
this video was really helpful!! i’m learning how to use a cruiser skateboard to commute around my college campus. not only did i readjust my form from this video, but i also learned how to tic tac. thank you so much!! 🫶
Yeah gbyoshi14 ! That is one of the coolest things I have heard someone say on here! I really appreciate the comment and that’s so cool you’re picking up skateboarding! And riding your skateboard to class in college was one of my favorite things to do! Definitely miss doing that but I hope you’re having a blast on your skateboard and comment when ever you want !! And keep up the progression! 🙏🛹👍🤛
So I'm using Indy's.. Not sure if I should get the 149's or 159's what's the best choice? Over all size is 8.7 so 159's BUT wheel base is 8.5 (149's)??
Yeah I use independent 149s! They fit like perfectly and I can do primo stalls great with them ! But I hope you figured that out and got the right trucks ! 💪🛹
Thank you so so much damnronin. I was actually at the skatepark doing a lesson and I thought I had missed the Mens street in the Olympics and I saw your message on RU-vid and I was so relieved becasue I wanted to make a video about skateboarding in the Olympics before the street part started. So really happy to get the heads up! But I hope you get a chance to watch the Olympics tomorrow and the Girls division today was nuts!! But please comment again. And psyched for tomorrow but I will have to catch the replay because I have to teach at skate camp but that is awesome too. So comment again please !🙏 🤛 🤙
Yeah markfitzurka9995, I hope you got a chance to see some of the womens street skating. I watche the Finals and Coco light it up for team Japan! Def check it out if you have not scene it. Awesome skateboarding that lived up to the Olympic hype and women skateboarding is going on a nother level right now. But thanks so much for the comment and the mens street was post poned till tomorow July 29th 3:00 AM West coast time prelims and then finals at 6:00 Am and they def will replay them,🤛 And have fun Watching them !!

That is awesome you have the new Andy Anderson setup! I definitely want to try that while complete setup out at some point! I also got those wheels but they were gifted to me and they are a little soft so I wanted to get the harder ones. But I’ll probably still try them out at some point.🛹 But thanks for the comment ! 🙏🛹
