I hail from the Midwest area of the United States and would like to take all of you on an amazing journey of portable radio enjoyment!
The main focus of my content will be to produce video reviews for these devices. My hope is to share the excitement I have for these portable AM/FM and Shortwave radios with my viewers!
One of my favorite pastimes is to hunt distant AM stations with portable radios. Another is building radios, from crystal radio sets to AM/FM receivers.

I can't' seem to find this radio in the WR-23D with DAB. There is a 23F that does not include DAB but when I visit Europe, I want the DAB. More is always better but where can I buy this?
Hej Todderbert thanks for the review the Sangean PR-D5 seams very nice and I love Sangean radios Sangean now how to make good radios Todderbert I have just order a new radio. A early birthday present for myself my birthday is June 21 the radio i bought this night is the Prunus J-150 so many people out there love this radio. And yes I have also seen your review of the Prunus J-150 as well so it will be interesting to use and test Prunus J-150 when it arrives. But yes I love the look of the Prunus J-150 and it have nice features take care Todderbert and have a nice night it's early morning here.
This is a great radio. I own one in Black. I logged stations on MW over 1000 miles with this radio. The audio is pretty good also. Good review. Have a good night.
Hej Todderbert thanks for the video okej Todderbert so you have bought the Qodosen DX-286 very interesting I am also thinking of buying this radio. I look forward to your review of the Qodosen SR-286 and hear what you think about this radio take care and have a nice evening in Chicago. Todderbert
Nice Build, Great FM Reception, Decent MW/SW reception. Options are buried, and not clearly labeled. Uses a ton of power compared to similar sized radios.
@@todderbert It uses more power, but then, an 18650 can give you 3,000 mAh or so. I think this radio is most comparable to the Sihuadon R-108, which is very good, but that radio uses a battery with about 1/3 the power, and drains itself in a week or so with standby. I have not tried to measure standby drain on the SR-286, but I've seen no indication of it. I've sucessfully plugged in a battery pack and operated the SR-286 for hours after getting a low battery warning. I think it will run 8 hours or so with a full charge.
Am I getting this right, the P36 has an analog circuit just like the P26 had? The P36 can still be bought brand new while the P26 has been replaced by the DSP modified P27.
I have this radio, I bought it back in the day because it was around 11 bucks, and it’s outlasted all my other electronics. My only gripe: I’d prefer if the antenna was on a ball joint for rotation.
I've got a GREAT idea for all these Emergency radios: one of the radio bands should be TV audio so while you're sitting there powerless, at least you can listen to your favorite TV shows. EZ to design into these radios and worth every penny while you're sitting there doing nothing IMHO.
