Great list! I am obsessed with Japanese translations, they are sooo wonderful! I am currently reading what you are looking for is in the library and loving it. Did you get a chance to read it?
Currently reading 4th chapter of What you are looking for is in Library... I love this book it's ❤ warm and cosy Also Read Days at Morisake Bookshop ... ❤ it's beautiful
I prefer having it in three separate volumes, one big book is so unwieldy to hold. The Hobbit movies tried too hard to become a blockbuster (studio interference?) and became too bloated and lost too much of the charm of the book. The LOTR movies were the opposite, I was amazed that they managed to get as much into them as they did.
I've just been encountered with your channel. And seems like I've read lots of cozy books from your collection. I mostly read slice of life, crime thrillers (mainly detectives) & fantasy. I have something to ask since I've seen you recommending Richard Osman in two of your videos I've just watched. What kind of detective stories does he write exactly? I'm mainly into adult detective stories like Christie, Byomkesh, Perry Mason, Keigo Higashino. Do you think I might enjoy Osman?
Such book shelves r dream of every reader..well..the love u have for books is evident throughout the video..I totally agree that The Midnight Library is an experience and it's different for everyone..
The excitement of getting an order delivered and the disappointment when we find out that it is damaged.. anyhow.. enjoyed the vlog..the bookshelf u finally got is a good one .
Sorry if this question is too personal, but was curious on how you manage your budget for buying so many books. I also love buying more and more books but am always confused on how to manage the expenses
it all depends on priorities… i’m in a position where books are part of job so i allocate more to spend for books and i also get review copies sent from publishers because of my social media.
I highly highly recommend Osamu Dazai's No Longer Human❤ Its not exactly a cosy read but it's a classic which deserves all the recognition. Its written in an understated style quintessential to Japanese authors
When you were describing the last book, the cautious traveler's guide to the wasteland, it made me think of Ministry of Time, with all its multitude of genres combined. I think you might enjoy that one too. :)
