Welcome to Glastonbury Gabriel. I have got the exploring bug and I'm taking my camera with me. Trains, Canals, History, our past and our future, they all need exploring and that is what i am going to do. I will also be doing gear reviews on the kit I use. and reporting on my experience of using that kit.
It will be a bit shakey at first as I find my feet and learn the craft but please do hit that subscribe button and above all let me know what you think in the comments so I can improve whatI do. So lets go see what is out there.
Loved the video, i recognise that station, stood waiting for a train to Brighton or home Bournemouth many times. Well done on a successful challenge completed.
I had no idea that Wells Cathedral showcases all three gothic styles in one building! The clock is spectacular. Your guide was extremely knowledgeable and interesting.
Thank you so much for this very informative tour. I love Wells Cathedral and learned so much new info about it. Who knew that the scissor arches weren’t exact copies of each other?
So great to see the best parts of Weston, more importantly, to have my great friend Barry talk us through it. I grew up there, worked for nearly 20 years with the great man at the Winter Gardens, such a great place to work, made long lasting friendships. I am looking forward to Birnbeck Pier being renovated, I used to walk that pier most Sundays, during the summer, with my parents and sisters, sadly my parents are no longer around, but once it’s completed, I will make sure that my first walk along it is with my sisters
So lovely to see my friend Jim commenting on the video Jim and myself spent many happy years working together at the Winter Gardens and developed with the other staff members friendships that will last throughout our lives ☮️☮️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
That was quite an undertaking, Gabe, and you rose to the challenge. I'm no fan of the Anglican "High Church" rituals, but this was not about them. It was about a man who has undoubtedly earned the respect of Glastonbury folk, and returned the church to its rightful place at the centre of the community. I can but only wish him good luck in his new role. The problem for Glastonbury now is finding the right successor, and that won't be easy. Thanks for sharing that my friend. It is right that these things should be recorded for future reference.
Good one Gabe. I've looked on street view. How can anyone say the pedestrian crossing with lights is convenient? It's too far away and in the wrong direction. Crossing "facilities" right on top of roundabouts also have their dangers if not controlled. What these folk are asking is common sense and quite reasonable. Hopefully this video will have been a help.
Thankyou I was one of the people who asked about going to the beach for the day and youve done that now so thankyou so much though I really wasnt expecting you to go quite so far! What time did you leave Glastonbury to get all that way so early on in the day?
The Winter Gardens? Down near the beach? Going South was the plan though Gabe .. lol. 😂 . Have you been to Looe Cornwall/Kernow for a traditional Pastie yet? Maybe somewhere for a future challenge?!!
That's untrue if they walk down the road towards the right there's a crossing near Colin White's which is before the other roundabout! Just being lazy not walking to the crossing, it's only a 40 limit which isn't bad.
I’m sorry i disagree. Are you able bodied? Do you have to walk to the supermarket with kids and return with kids and heavy shopping. Lazy. Hmm so judgemental 😀
100% Agree because when your on a scooter coming from Tesco I don't want to dodge traffic to cross the road at the roundabout much prefer a crossing by millstream.
The traffic lights crossing puts an extra 2 miles to the journey. Yes definitely the safest option. Currently people are not doing that so for the road users and pedestrians a crossing sounds like a much needed plan. I hope they get one especially for those who are less able.
@@mrstiggywinkle I’m not quite sure where you’ve got 2 miles from. There are crossings like I’ve just mentioned and I’m not sure where you expect the money to come from, it won’t be from a skint council to cater for a single housing estate. A ‘plan’ very much not needed
People are not priority in the government world, they wait until someone gets badly injured,or killed before they take any action before they dip their hands in that allusive purse.
Thank you for bringing this to light, I agree it really should have a crossing even if it’s just a zebra, it wouldn’t cost the council much when it would inevitably be saving lives and we really don’t want to make people more reliant on their cars then they have to be
Thanks ....i love the bells of St. JOHN. Got some moments on my mobile when they were ringing last year and in juli this year. Gave me everytime a proud feeling to be connected to Glastonbury .❤❤❤❤❤❤❤the town i love.
