I was very confused at first because the style of aikido I practice doesn't have an omote/ura for iriminage (Aikira Tohei Shihan was my sensei's sensei). Your iriminage omote is our kokyunage 😊
My first thought was that you should have bigger dojo, my second thought was that this size shows that Aikido can work even in limited spaces. Very well done. Thank you and wishing you the best.
This is like Baagua footwork. With your feet turning to aid your body turning more quickly. And the takedown techniques are also very similar to Baagua using the turning of your body to twist the center of gravity of your opponent.
Only you're pulling uke forward in to a strong, low, and balanced position before then trying to move back through that strong position while he has a hold of your arm and his chin, dropped weight and good posture to resist the rising motion to set up the throw.
This was very informative however if I am battling a man that is much taller than me I do the Tohai Hop to get out of way I USED IT BEFORE AND IT WORKS
