Aimee Semple McPherson was married three times and divorced twice and controversy followed her wherever she went. For example, in May 1926 she went missing from a beach in California and after a massive search was presumed drowned. However, a month later she turned up in Mexico, claiming to have been abducted but evidence strongly indicated she had in fact eloped with her lover, Kenneth Ormiston, who was married to another woman; McPherson and Orimiston had been seen together earlier in the year during McPherson’s trip to Europe and had been checking in together at hotels in California at various times. In addition, a grocery receipt signed by McPherson was found in a cottage in Carmel, California where it appears she had met up with Orimiston at the time she claimed to have been abducted and taken to Mexico. Several eye-witnesses testified to seeing them together during that period. McPherson’s third husband, David Hutton left his wife and children to marry her. Hutton then divorced McPherson in 1934. In spite of her positive confession theology and health and wealth gospel, she died of an overdose of prescription drugs in 1944. Aimee Semple McPherson was a dishonest and immoral woman who has no place being eulogised by Christians as a spiritual leader.
My brother, I would advise you to rest!!!! I guess you would love to take David out of the Bible and go back to rebuke God for calling him a man after his heart. If you don’t understand people’s covenant with God, don’t speak against them. The bride of Christ (the church) may not be perfect but we have a very responsible husband (Christ) who will not give up on us.
@@sophiescorner3464 The way in which God dealt with the sin of David has absolutely no relevance or application to how McPherson’s sin and immorality was regarded by God and should have been dealt with by her church. David was an Old Testament king of a nation, whereas McPherson was (allegedly) a New Testament believer in the risen Christ and church leader. And in any case, although God forgave David’s sin, he still had to face the consequences of his sin, which were the death of his son and rebellion in his kingdom; God’s grace isn’t a licence to sin. The New Testament is very clear about how sin and immorality should be dealt with within the context of church. Furthermore, the moral standard laid out for those in leadership is even greater. Even putting aside for a moment the separate debate over whether or not women should hold leadership roles in church, the New Testament is clear that McPherson’s sin and immorality disqualified her from church leadership.

I did my part, I got out my truck and walked about 50 ft to the car load and told them a true story. The Grandma did the hardcore part though. I shouldnt have to point out the problem there, but i do respect that you just told me to ask jesus. However there are 2 things i do know. One is that Aimee McPherson didnt believe what your saying herself, and nothing ive ever heard that she taught, correlated with that belief. Second i have friends that jesus himself have pulled them out of the twin flame deception. One friend was a very successful tarot card reader, and had built much of her life around a twin flame that showed itself to her. When jesus pulled her out of it, he showed her what her supposed twin flame really was, a demon. Then she got delivered of several demons. She was very adamant about the twin flame deception. I know that there has been a lot of deception in this world, its tough not to throw out good truth just believing its all part of a deception. There are good people that have come out of these new age beliefs and talk about the deceptions involved, but i will pray about things, and ask jesus.
