@@tomgillbanks Yup 17 days today now, but stopped now, thicker is coming, and you're right, consulting my doctor about what happened when did ur hair started going thin
hey Tom how long did it take you to start shedding from initially starting finasteride and how long to recover from the shed. I'm 7 months deep and still shedding 😂
Hey man, so I started shedding pretty quickly after starting, then it stabilised around 3 months in, but then I went through a second one a year in. Honestly, everyone has such a different experience with shedding, so tbh for the first few years of treatment, I’d just try and forget about it & trust the process :)
5 days isn’t really optimal. From someone who’s in the same boat as you currently I struggled to increase weight I was lifting for ages until I pared it back to 3 or even 2 days a week with full body split. Hitting everything 3 times but from different angles seems to have serious benefit.
Dude great video! Would be cool maybe you arleady did but to make a video on the pros and cons of a hair transplant vs topical treatment. Tempted to just say F it and fly to turkey lol
Thank you bro! Yes I can make a video explaining this, however, the basics are that unfortunately even with a transplant, to maintain a good result your surgeon will recommend you to be on treatment anyway :)
Hi Tom!😊 I am having a receding hairline like yours did my doctor suggested me to apply minoxidil and finasteride tropical solution 5% and its look like it's more residing applying this formula😢 even more and my hair is becoming more uneven also when I am using Derma roller😢 Help me! Love your videos I follow you both Instagram and RU-vid❤
Hey man, how long have you been on these treatments for, if it’s within the first year (as a rough guide), this is still totally normal & all part of the process :)
😿 actually studies showed that contact with the skin is DEATHLY TO CATS and DANGEROUS TO DOGS, so it's safer to use it when you're out working and then wash it out thoroughly when coming home
Man it's been almost 3 months into finasteride and I am going through a crazy shed. What type of hair should I see during the shed because I only see very weak hairs. My long healthy hairs aren't falling.
Bro im ur huge fan ..from India.... Im 20 and i also have reciding hair line ..i dont why but im afraid to take finesitried... should i start ?...give me some advice to avoid side effects.... please
Hey bro, thank you! Love from the UK. So the side effects exist, but it’s very rare to have severe side effects. I’d recommend watching my other videos, there’s a ton on instagram and TikTok too. Most importantly do your own research & consult your doctor, but, if you do go for it, keep a positive mindset & good luck man :)
Bro have you seen Bridgeburn results on hairlosstalk ? It's much much better than Finasteride. Finasteride and Dutasteride are too weak and doesn't cause any cosmetically significant regrowth in 99% of cases...just hold on to thinning hair If you are serious about your hair you need the hardcore heavy hitters bro
I started using only Rogaine foam 1.5 month ago on my hairline and it is comming back I'm seeing crazy results I don't how long it will last. Also I don't have any genetic history on both sides of my parents, My hairloss was due to some bad water problems. Whats do u think? will it help me in long run?
@@tomgillbanks I'm certain the hair loss is due to water quality. After moving to a new city with my two brothers, we all noticed excessive shedding within a week, despite having thick hair and no previous hair loss. As mentioned, we have no genetic history of hair loss.
@@limfosacomatistin331Maybe it would be worth looking into a filtration system? I’d also see a dermatologist to confirm this though bro. Balding genetics can pop up down the family line even when it’s unexpected.
Mate I have a question. Can you plesase clear my doubt as i have been a follower of you since a year on insta and found you on YT. Now Im using a Minoxidil 2% hair regrowth formulae which have also other elements like Anagin, Redynsynyl and I am also taking a DHT blocker which is natural (manufactured by a company OZIVA which is as effective as 1mg finasteride with almost no side effects. I am responding very well to the treatment as my hairline is coming back really fast in less than 3 months but my top hair density is very fine. So do you think that I will be abke to get all the loss back and im just 19 😊. (Patience is the key but i need clarification from you brother)
Hey bro, thanks for the support! :) So I’d say great job on getting started, and if you’re seeing good results already that’s a great sign. However for the DHT blocker, unfortunately I do think that only finasteride & dutasteride are the only solid long term options to maintain.
Hi bro big fan 💗 I have Seborrheic darmatities and saw some hair fall I'm treating it soo the hair i loss with Seborrheic darmatities hair will grow back? I'm just 18 best diet no genetic problem i just constipation after fixing it i saw inflammation and Seborrheic darmatities hope you'll reply
Hey man! Thank you! 🙏🏻 What treatment did your doctor give you to treat the seb dermatitis? If this was the only issue, then it should return once it is corrected & there is no male pattern baldness contributing to it also :)
@@tomgillbanks my dr give me sebsol shampoo which is for Seborrheic darmatities and fulticamax lotion for Seborrheic darmatities too and minoxidil 5% for hair growth I'm just 18 and eating well water well excerise daily no genetic issues it's just bcz of Seborrheic darmatities and I'm making plan to do head shaved how's it? Should i go for it 💕btw love you
@@danigamerytdani4195I’ve heard of this but don’t know the ingredients bro. Does it have any active ketoconazole? If he has diagnosed it as only seborrheic dermatitis & not androgenic alopecia that’s good news man. Keep it up & yeah you can shave it for a fresh start if you want to! Thank you! Love from the uk 🇬🇧
I think its highly likely that a lot of men in Hollywood are on Fin or Dut. An example that comes to mind is Ashton Kutcher who took Dut for 10 years. Two of the top models in the world Sean O’pry and Francisco Lachowski also admitted in a podcast that they take Fin. Balding statistics simply doesn't line up with Hollywood
I agree for sure. You’re right, Ashton is probably the best example of a guy who got on it early, and it probably helped his career massively over the years in the types of roles he’d play etc. And yeah the amount of hair loss doesn’t seem to correlate as closely to the wider population does it?
I agree. It can't be a coincidence that a lot of these guys reach reach a norwood 2 at some point in there career and then just stay forever with no further progression lol.
Hi Tom I started using minoxidil exact 2 months ago and I’m still shedding. When does this shedding stop?(btw Ive also been using finasteride for 1.5 years now) And yeah love your videos mate❤
Hey bro! Thank you, really appreciate it! So 2 months is still pretty normal, hopefully since you’ve been on fin so long, the shedding from now on, once the minoxidil shed is complete won’t be as bad. Just got to ride it out and wait for the results now man, best of luck :)
Its for life. Please consider the side effects. There is a good deal of them. Most are minor but some would be considered major in my opinion. All these hair places seem to ignore the reality of these products. Yearly studies found around 20% with sex related issues.. Heart, retaining water, enlarged breasts and so on. These medications are not a cure and neither is a hair transplant. Just keep it in mind.
Have you grown new hairs into those empty follicles? I am a woman who has almost the exact same as your older picture you shared and I have heaps of empty follicles. I need to get a new dermatologist because so far the medications aren't doing anything.
Monoxidil, Fenasteride work while you use it once you stop using it the cycle of hair loss begins again, PLUS the fact is that if your hair loss is genetic you can do nothing about it. If your hair loss is due to stress, that is a big problem is stress continues...
