The main focus of my channel is to provide free computer support to normal end users and technically minded people for free during Zoom session while live streaming the experience. This provides a way for users to get free technical support while providing RU-vid content that helps other people. I also record other tutorial style content on a variety of computer topics most of which are categorized in Playlists.
This is intended to be a revenue generating part of my 30+ year computer consulting business. By making the channel monetized and assuming the approach is successful this affords me the opportunity to provide this service for free.
I followed all the steps as per your advice and tried activating Windows 10 Pro Generic by copying it from the link you provided. Still, after restarting even after connecting with the internet I am getting an error "can't activate Windows on this device". can you help me? for this issue.
Well... I can sense a lot of things in your voice.... Everything from frustration... to..... I wish I didn't have to deal with this... I have to figure out a way to solve this problem, and that's going to be a hassle.... I think it was good for you to come on camera and just explain things as they come to mind..... I'm kinda hoping that as you explain things to us... Maybe an idea will appear, or possibly just venting a little bit is what is needed. Whatever is going on, It shouldn't be this complicated. I don't mess with a lot of this automation stuff and rely on programs to do automatic things... Because... Generally speaking, I found them to be unreliable and potentially unpredictable until a problem arises, and then you have to untangle everything and you wind up in a situation like this. it's kind of like syncing files... Across many devices. It seems to work when it was set up but... Given time and changes including updates. Things just don't stay perfectly aligned. This is money, and it involves the IRS. Those guys have their numbers and the important thing is to make sure your numbers match up with theirs... And yes, I think there is an accounting terminology called good faith estimate.... This might involve such good faith on your part that I'm going to overpay.... And when I get things straightened out... I know my faith in my overpayment will get me a refund. I think that is how the concept of the faith works, because if it doesn't, then there are penalties for underpayment Ha ha ha we're here as a group so if you need to vent a little bit. It's fine with us... Because it helps us relate to our content provider . 🙂

That fixed the messages threat inbox order.. how can I fix it when replying a message... I am still getting when replying the order at the end of the threat but if I do something else, the reply at the end kinda gets lost in the threat....
When I am booted to a USB Flash with Acronis, I sometimes put the flash drive I have a bunch of personal info, and I back it up also. I have a program called MiniTool Partition Wizard. It is great at recovering and it is a paid version I paid a pretty penny for it.
I'm probably going to trigger Jim, Kathrin and probably many other in this community :) but I like hp, yeah I said it! now let me clarify I'm not talking about the £300 HP laptop or desktop that folks pickup from PC world (UK computer store) but the HP elitedesk/eliteone 800 series devices in my experience have been solid but as always YMMV

I recently had a weird WiFi issue to deal with which made me want to rip my hair out An alarm system suddenly decided it couldn’t connect to the WiFi, went into the WiFi settings on the keypad, it was able to detect the WiFi network but it couldn’t connect to it, i was going to try connecting it to a different WiFi network (which is broadcast by the ISP box), but it couldn’t even detect that one, i eventually ended up reinstating the Mesh WiFi thing that i took out a few months prior (its essentially a second wireless router which can function as a Mesh Node, and the uplink to the main router is through Ethernet (and it grabs the WiFi configuration from the main router)) (and I had to undo a mistake i made over 4 years ago (unrelated to WiFi networks), and I had to help someone set up a second hand 2015 MacBook Air that was purchased to replace a Windows laptop that had battery problems (before anyone says about replacing the battery, i don’t know if it would have been possible on that model, and i wasn’t the one making the decision to replace it), i just hope I don’t get asked to provide support for ChromeOS/ChromeBooks. Windows, macOS, and Linux (only certain distros) is enough for me)
Great show today. In regards to HP Printer issues, my HP Deskjet randomly disconnected from my pc last week. I had to unistall and reinstall it. I do not know what caused this to happen.
I take two computers when I travel, M1 Mac Air and a Dell Latitude 5410. Both have a USB-C port. I have found a charging block I can use to charge both computers and my cell phone at the same time. My problem is my Dell only has one USB-C port. I use it to drive a portable monitor. The monitor has a USB-C port on it for both power and display. The problem is I need a USB-C hub that can input power and output display over USB-C. lol ... regedit / for a decade I would stay away from the registry , then I wanted to change the timing of my backgrounds... I found a solution I had to modify settings in regedit and to enforce the changes I made, I had to restart Windows Explorer in task manager... the last few years I saw master Doug making changing to regedit but it seemed to never had to be enforced anymore is that a change in windows processes...I'm always curious when some body can just willy nilly modify the registry and doesn't need to be enforced ???
Yes and No There are (more or less) three levels of, as you call it, "enforcements" in the registry: ◾Low: settings under HKEY_CURRENT_USER Anything you modify under this key only affects the currently logged on user's profile and covers individually personalized settings If you're running as a non-admin user, nothing under that key can harm the computer or the operating system itself. The worst thing that can happen is that the user profile becomes corrupted beyond repair, and the fix is fast and simple: fresh user profile ◾Medium: most settings under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Anything you modify under this key may affect any user as well as the operating system itself, especially if you're using an admin-level account. Tread lightly! ◾High: some settings under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Even admin-level users must manually engage the registry's built in permissions system to be able to modify these settings. Think, re-think and triple-think if it's worth your time and effort to engage these settings That's why invoking 'regedit' typically requires an elevation (UAC prompt). Bobby is going to have to pay the $65.00. If there is no outlet, then it is best that the spectrum installers do it. Thay way if something goes wrong in the future then it will be covered. They will charge more to fix if something should happen it's not the 80's and 90's anymore.
Well done Doug on the fix! I will say in defence of HP this laptop looks like it was quite a high end laptop in its day so it has a longer feasible life than a $300 laptop from 14 years 😉
