I think that yet again we should have had more pre-season matches. For the past couple of years it has taken us 5 or 6 games to start clicking as a team and settle into the season. Meanwhile the teams who make the effort (and can afford to do so) play several games and have already ironed out the creases come the start of the season. We have some excellent individual players but unless we play as a team we will continue to struggle. There were some sparks tonight, we just need to ignite the Flames. 🔥
I take it no Premier Sports coverage this season? None of the CHL & GB vs Japan mysteriously went amiss. Who remembers so much on Freesports including live SHL & KHL.....halcyon days
What is that clown talking about on commentary for the second goal? The puck hit the goalscorer's hand, he then put it legally into the net with his stick. It's not a hand pass if it's to yourself! Ironically, if Whistle hadn't stopped it there and it had gone in off the hand, it would have been waved off.
And a new name. I favour the British Hockey League - the BHL. Couple extra teams wouldn't go amiss either. Same goes for the EPL as well. And, as said before, a decent TV deal. Hardly anyone knows that Viaplay/Premier Sports exists - bring back FreeSports, I say.
@@markbruce3524 You deserved it. My wife is a Steeler and we have 2 season tickets for them and in all honesty there was nobody able to touch them. We get to watch both teams on a regular basis and the gap between us and yourselves is so wide. Hoping that we can close that gap on you next season.
@@Pollypanther. hi I use to love to hate you lot but after Adam my heart broke so glad I was at work and not there I feel close to the panthers now I hope next season his name is on the ice with tron 😢👍 RIP never forgotten by real hockey fans one game one family
@@markbruce3524 Yeah. It was a night that I will never forget, for all the wrong reasons. Unity in ice hockey is at the forefront. Also, we cannot forget young Alex and Hammo. September will soon come round and another 8 months of watching this fantastic game. I'm hoping that we can at least beat you in at least one game for a change. Have a great Summer Mark.
Great season and thank you to all the teams who took part. The league keeps getting better year on year and maybe we will see it grow and hopefully see Milton Keynes and Murrayfield back sometime soon. Ten teams seems a bit light.
It badly needs a Primary Sponsor and a proper TV deal with either Sky Sports or TNT Sports. And 2 extra teams in the League would be perfect 👌 A team from London would be great for further exposure or even Dublin or somewhere. If a team was to pull out 9 teams isn't enough
@@neilmcilwrath5951 i couldn't agree more, i think our league is getting to the point now where everyone is able to sell out games and its fantastic, but if we want to keep improving as a league we need to sort out a proper tv deal which i think would also help newer teams financially and give them a chance to grow more!
@rst872 They're maybe worried about attendance figures going down if the games were on the TV but that would be outweighed by all the new fans that would take an interest in it.When you think that Sky Sports are showing Men's British Basketball being played in a Leisure centre with about 300 people watching and Women's Netball and Women's football it's baffling that it's not on the TV.As we all know Ice hockey in the UK is no longer a minority sport,it's the best attended indoor sport and the 3rd best attended winter time sport altogether behind football and Rugby Union. The people running the EIHL need to get their finger out!
Finish 6th. No trophies, advantage of playing on a " postage stamp". Ginn is not the most successful coach of 2023/24. Nor has he achieved greater results than the coach who stood head and shoulders above the rest. Parades, the Nottingham Panthers coach. In my opinion as a Steelers fan.
awwwwwwwww upset because of our success! it is pathectic that every team and every fan is against us! grow up! just hate the game it would make more sense! I makes sense to hate dirty teams that do slewfoot, cheap shots ect but hating because a team is hugely successful is beyond childish
You're hardly hugely successful....You have won 2 trophies in the past 6 or 7 years!Belfast and Cardiff have been the 2 dominant teams in the EIHL as past number of years!
@@peakadventures_the team that had Matt Petgrave on their roster last few seasons......probably the dirtiest team in the league, & it's not childish to want to see other teams win a trophy part of being successful is everyone wants to knock you off your perch it comes with the territory people like an underdog shocking I know.
Literally it’s pointless to care. Sports are a game. They provide nothing meaningful to society. They are a waste of time. They hardly ever have integrity anyway, and there’s a lot of luck involved. Sports are created by the establishment to distract people from rebelling against the government.
