Alchemy seems-on-the-surface about union of opposites. But in reality, Alchemy is basically about the transformation and combination of two existing properties (be it: spiritual, conceptual, physical, visual). Which is why the Chemistry was formed.

Judaism and Christianity have no more association than a Master Slave relationship. Beyond that it is all a complete lie. Just a little bit of research and you can find that out.

Should be brought to our attention more often instead of goofy travel dialogue that just takes you away from the real work and reality…Tibetan Buddhism was appreciated for thousands of years. Modern Society with its Consumerism has only turned most of us into Automatons. Joseph Campbell did great Work on The Myth and its function in growth of the Soul . I do-not lust after Luxury or Amusements and the Life of the Rich. Truth is of more value than Gold.

Jung's most significant discovery is that all of man's religions originate in the collective unconscious. The "revelations" of religion originate in archetypes and symbols of the deep unconscious. With that said, the content of the collective unconscious is interpreted by the ego. Unless the ego has completed the inner journey to the bottom of the psyche, where the Self Core is accessed, the religions are distorted and contain falsehood.

I don't know sometimes Jung just sound too absurd to be true, is it really that complicate to "be your true self" whatever that means? I don't know, i read three of his books and everytime is not clear from where his ideas came from and why, sometimes while i read i have the firm suspect it's all made up, it sound like a lot of bullsh*t. I don't know, anyway it's still interesting.

This is a really helpful video. I'm teaching the basics and the history of Psychoanalysis for the first time and to be honest, I've been a nerd my whole life, didn't know WHERE TO START talking about this great great man, Jung. I KNOW how to WORK with the concepts, but it's hard to summarize for me ... this helped me a lot. thank you so much sir ✨🙏🏼✨

I have an inclination to disagree with what was said here that trigger warnings in learning spaces would be categorically harmful or make the experience "bland" or not thought provoking enough without. I think the materials could infact be selected in a thoughtful way that it's not triggering clusters for survival instincts.

Thanks for your comment. I am inclined to agree with you. Sometimes it is not the right time or circumstance to include potentially triggering topics that can result in people who are not ready to deal with powerful emotions appropriately, especially in a space that they might not feel or be supported.

What an honest conversation of you both❤I agree with both of you! But also there is one little different point which I am still about to dive through. If somebody does find this - is it they should, Life is kicking the shadows? Or is it always only on us? Maybe in case we handle complicated manners in the podcast, we could mention in the beginning: something like "This shows advanced thoughts which can be integrated after we lessoned the foundation" of any work. Like the Breath BEFORE starting to work with Yoga or ThaiChi. Nowadays we are all 'teached' to start someplace but it is the grounding is missing really badly. I work in this field. See it every Day. Even in exercising. A functional structural foundation. That is lacking more or less...

“Know yourself” is the sump of all philosophical commandments, Socrates once observed. The phrase “Know thyself,” is centuries old, but is still THE essential meta-skill of the 21st century. Aristotle also said: “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”

Carl Jung claimed that alchemy describes only symbolically conscious and subconscious psychic processes. One is amazed that such an admired and respected psychiatrist/psychologist can make such judgments about a subject he knows nothing about. This gives a deep insight and also makes him unbelievable in his field, psychology. I have been involved in alchemy for 22 years and can say that alchemy is about visible and invisible changes in the vibrational state of minerals, metals, plants, animals and people and extracts thereof. Of course, it is possible to create great remedies from the quintessence of the above materials. For advanced users it is of course also possible to transmute metals into silver or gold. Or alter or create gems. Since alchemy is the 5th level of magic, one should master either sphere magic and/or Kabbalah before one can hope to succeed in alchemy.

Excellente vidéo. The only mistake is about the Anima and Animus. Many physicians (Jungians especially) agree that it is important to mention the distinction between classical Jungian theories and post-Jumgian updates. Jung mentioned himself that this theory is still a work in process, especially for the Animus. It is often updated.

Ahh, this makes Satoshi Kon's work far more relevant honestly. I recommend Paranoia Agent, you won't know what you are getting into until you watch it, but he very obviously plays upon this concept. It's spooky actually, a person can become their work and I believe that to be the case with him, it's haunted but in a good way.

The problem is this is not actually what alchemy is about. Just Carl Jung projecting his ideas onto it. Actual alchemy is more profound than what carl Jung thought of it.

Can anyone please tell the alchemical anthologies that Jung references in Psychology and Alchemy and Mysterium Coniunctionis. I think there are about three or four large Latin codices given in the index that he constantly draws examples from, each being a collection of smaller alchemical writings. I sold my books many years ago but still wonder if these codices are available online in an English translation.

I'm stppid that's why I have so many doubts and spend so many hours on youtube. But from what I got yung is totally existentialist like Kierkgaard "truth is subject, and subjectivity is truth" and also the idea of "leap of faith". right? those similarities proceed ? I was extremely biased by Spiritism (kardec) not mainly by their writings per se. As a brazilian and I strongly suggest you do your research the figure of "chico xavier". of course lately in my life (I'm 40 lol ) got a lot stronger in doing shadow work. And men thanks god put most of my hate out. I'm really a Strong mother fudger. But the idea of reincarnation (objection speculation) , penetrated my soul so deeply. i know is meta physics but chico xavier was such an influence. I'm really guided by the notion of perpetuation and maintenance of the soul's individuality after death. from shadow work I suggest people to take chloride magnesium it activates your pineal gland and for sure at least for me worked. It will make you dream a lot more, and remember it. I could say a lot more about me, but no one would understand anyway. What makes me so interested in jordan peterson, yung is that what they say fits so well in my trajectory and past experiences is absurd. Also adore Camus, Cioran, schopenhauer (life is a tragedy comedy lol - perfect). Reasoning I really believe life is some king of a bug. I really not went in absolute despair mode cause of Spiritism. Nice your work. tnx
