The secret to defending flea stance. stand point blank to yoshi while he's in the stance. You'll notice that you only get hit if you dash into him. Walking forward doesn't cause you to get hit. When you attack you hurt box extends causing you to get hit. Its the same concept as attack after a side step. Go through your move list and search for moves that have a hit box that hits him without your hurt box touching yoshi first. Try to stand back so that the start up frames and forward movement of your attacks do get you killed

As somone who had one of the most saucy but annoyingly unpredictable Leis in T7, I'm afraid what I'll become if I put time into learning Yoshi in T8
