I am plagued by this ground loop that ruins my guitar playing lol. Have tried literally everything I can think of at this point and put a lot of time into solving it.. starts to feel hopeless. Especially with everything in the same socket.. could it be the power strip? could it be the fact the interface is powered by USB? who knows at this point all I know is most other people with a focusrite have no issues lol
So I've got Channel 1 VOX send out on AUX 3 and Channel 2 Guitar sent out on AUX 4 to my IEM PSM L/R inputs. These have been assigned to BUS 1. The mute works fine but I still have no control over the faders to control the volume in my IEM. I'm sure I missed something... any ideas..
Hi,,, awesome video Thank you...@3,00 However in electronics what we are learning is that only non-sinusoidal waveforms has harmonics in it, so i am little confused
The delineation of electrical ground being a diversionary safety path for electricity in case of a fault as opposed to the signal low end-sounding ground was itself alone worthy of a sub. No one has ever put it that simply and accurately.
I need it in German Language! Can you convert with HeyGen or something then I would buy..In English I don't understand! What can I do? It is the only Videotutorial which exists?
I like your story about the power supply issue. Now at live gigs there are so many power supplies from phones, laptops, pedals, etc. There are random noise and buzzing sometimes and it's because of this. Not to mention everyone at concerts have their phones out. So we switched to Star Quad XLR cables and that did the trick.
went from not knowing this product existed... to really wanting one... obviously i know of other similar products.... but this looks to be a very nice implementation
I am still missing something. I already have LR in-house and mix 1 is for streaming. No fx on anything. I want to take an electronic keyboard/organ feed and post fader apply a reverb to it for my mix1. Say it’s bank 8, how do I do that in the simplest manner. My in-house has a lot of natural reverb so I only need it for the post fader feed into mix1.
I have a modest home studio, but I’ve been reading about star grounding, was hoping you would mention something here, but do you have any other explanations of this for those of us that have the luxury of wiring scratch? Simply do a run or every audio dedicated outlet?
My granpappy always told us, "Never take diet advice from a fat man, nor financial advice from a poor man." I would like to add to this - Never take audio studio advice from a muffled, overly-reverbed man.
Good explanation! In this case, if I mainly adjust effects on the external unit, other than the input levels, what should the knobs on the mixer be set at? Also, the mixer’s own effects are not used, should the knobs be set at zero (0)?
This setup is similar to a battery/resistor/led circuit no? The AC flowing through the grid ebbs and flows like when we turn a knob to regulate the flow of water in a faucet.
Ummm...if you're comparing mics, doesn't it make sense to put both of them the same distance from your mouth?? Try putting that SM58 down your chest where you held the Zoom H4n and get back to us.
I bought this course and it’s great . But there are some things that need to be part of it. Like how to do sound check or practice mixing from a recorded multitrack in a usb stick.
