I've went through so many other methods of fixing my TDR/nvldmkm error and none of them worked until I tried this one, I thought my 3080 was cooked but after following this video I haven't had any random reboots and PC is running fine. Thanks you absolute legend.
@@TheM4rtin I cant say what fixed it for sure but if I were to take a guess the low latency mode being turned on in nividia control panel, I did do most of the methods in the video so one of them fixed it hard to narrow it down. I would recommend just doing all the fixes shown in the vid if your having issues wont take too long to do.
Am on AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor, windows 10 pro, 32GB RAM and 3070FE on a Gigabyte Aorus Elite B650M and a generic 750W PSU, this rig is new. Everything worked well the first month I installed. Several updates later whenever I open Unreal Engine 5.4.2 or The latest D5 render the computer crashes and totally switches off. This has been a month now. I almost lost my client until this solved my issue two days ago. Am just back here to say THANK YOU. You cured my depression. Lots of love from Kenya!

---------------------------- ---------------------------- I had exactly this problem after a local update, Although it does not exist or there is not much relationship and information about it (nvlddmkm.sys) in a strange way Is there anything related to: DistributedCOM Error I solved it with this: Open "dcomcnfg" -> Component Services -> Computers. Right click on "My Computer" -> Properties Go to "Default Properties". Disable -> Enable distributed COM on this computer Then go -> "COM Security". On both buttons options: "Edit limits" there is an "unknown account" which must be removed, And add your account administrator. Press Apply, OK and restart the pc.
I have same issue and same GPU GTX1050(laptop), using Nvidia 528.49 is very stable so far no BSOD, but if I update beyond that version it will BSOD again...
I've been having crashing/freezing issues for the better part of a year now. Recently I got into the closed beta for "The Frontier". On my first launch upon downloading it I got a TDR Failure BSOD. Ever since then just about all of my freezing/crashing issues have become TDR Failure BSODs. I'll let you know in some time if this has made a meaningful difference. I really hope so!
@@C.A.T3 Kind of worked? I don't see TDR Failure BSODs anymore so there's that. But I crash whenever the workload drops. For example, if I play Dragon's Dogma 2 for hours, no issue. But if I stop playing and start watching RU-vid instead I can expect s crash within the next 20min or so. Seems to be a different kind of crash entirely so I THINK it worked for TDR Failures specifically.
@@GothikaGeist That happens to me too. I can play for hours, but if I watch videos on RU-vid, a black screen appears and crashes the PC. I want to clarify that this only happens when I use my PC connected to my old TV. I tested it with a newer TV, and the error didn't occur. I invite you to try your PC on different monitors.
Love to hear that. You are most welcome! I personally struggled with this issue for over four months, dedicating an entire excel spreadsheet to track the error. Fortunately, I finally found a solution that worked for me as well.@@merylltombado6718
It depends on your setup; I wouldn't label the "msconfig" as a "crucial" step in this tutorial. The three key aspects to focus on are the two settings in the Nvidia panel and configuring the MSI tool. I observed an increase in system delay when G-SYNC was enabled (my setup), so I activated the Fixed Refresh rate, which significantly reduced stutters associated with the NVLDDMKM.SYS error. Additionally, I encountered a significant issue with "latency mode" when the monitors operated at different frequencies (dual/triple monitor setup). -You can skip the LS Container step and see if it works for you without it. This error seems to be quite setup-dependent , 1 error 100 solutions...@@merylltombado6718
Wtf it happened today for me too , same error info as yours, and whenever I try to restart my laptop after boot up , it went into Bluescreen mode, I noticed it has to do with new driver graphic update, so I rolled back graphic driver version, hoping it fixed
Yeah, it happens everytime I boot into Windows and eveytime I finish a gaming sessions. It happens whenI'mworking and checking e-mail. Yeah, the 5.4 drivers. Prevalent on my Asus Laptops and somewhat a bit on Lenovo. Rolling back to last 5.3 drivers
I thought i was the only one with page fault nvlddmkm.sys I paid 2000 dollars for my 4070 pc and look.... a billionaire company that cant even make drivers normally. Pc is shit now from me its done. 2 months ago i bought it. This is also my first time getting a gaming pc.
when the Nvlddmkm error happens, if I try to reboot my pc on the normal way, it doesnt work, first show the asus's logo and instead start loading, some blue points show up on screen. I can only really reboot my pc if I force turn off, holding the button.
You can make a similar observation about other software such as Discord, Outlook, and all the internet browsers you have installed. Certainly, this may not be a universal solution, but individuals with Chromebooks, limited budget for an Office license, or devices with low storage capacity might find this approach helpful.
There was actually a reddit post made that went over this issue, it was actually from Msi Afterburner, if you have afterburner and is getting this issue, just go to settings and turn off "enable low level io drivers" and you should be good to go.
