😎👍 Never hurts to have additional power. I recently added a mini 1OOah LFP battery, hooked-up in series, to the onboard "house battery" 100ah LFP battery in my squaredrop camper. I'm usually 99% of the time with no shore pwr available, so I tend to use the onboard batteries to charge phones as needed, and also run usb fans and the roof-mounted Maxx Air fan at night during warm temps. My portable unit (Ecoflow D2Max)) I dedicate to the 12v fridge (constant in camp), and Keurig coffee maker (as needed). My trips never last more than 2.5 days, so I have plenty of power available. However, I still take a inverter generator with...just in case. 😎
Same here, I used to run my Maxx Air fan during the evenings and it would last several days. I had two mini’s one ran the lights and the other one ran the accessories and the inverter. I’m setting the new camper up with a mini, solar and Bluetti’s as a backup, plenty of power for a couple days.
Mine is just north of junk. IF you get the flow and temperature just right, otherwise you'll have to restart it several times to get thru a shower. It does use a lot of water!
We normally don’t run it constant, we take baby showers when we are dispersed camping. Or if we are near a river or lake then we run the pump straight into the water source and then we let we rip! We keep our temp about 70-80 degrees, I can’t use it more than that unless we are doing dishes to get grease off. Don’t know why you have to start it several times, have you called tech line for guidance? Several of us have this unit and it’s been trouble free since then. Bring that to the Ozark’s when you come. In the Ozark we have no service. If I could get a little service out there this could be a game changing experience
@@sempergumbie Ha! I have been of any package meals since my time in the field. Maybe I will have to give this a shot. I am way too lazy to cook every night especially after a long day driving trails and I should start eating better.

Good choice! I bought a ‘23 Kong last year from TCC and Joe and his team s top notch! They worked with me and accommodated most of my requests and the Kong is a beast! It can go anywhere my Jeep Wrangler can and has better clearance. I drove from Colorado to get it. You can’t go wrong with this trailer.
I was on the fence with the Kong and the Rhino. I ended up going with the Rhino. Its basically the same but different suspension packages etc. where in Colorado are you located?
I’m from Boulder but have lived all over Colorado. Heading to Steamboat Springs for the winter after spending the summer in Utah and last winter at Big Bend Texas. The Kong did great off and on road. When l purchased my Kong it was the only true off road option. The Rhino had a torsion axle and l wanted the Timbren suspension. I’m glad Joe is offering so many more options now. He really listens to his customers and implements some great options as a result.
I wish l had those higher lights on my 2023 Kong. I actually asked for that and was told it couldn’t be done. One of my lights is effectively blocked by my cargo rack

ZeroBreeze is releasing the new MK3 which is a 5300btu unit. So that means the MK2 will be cheaper. I don’t know what the new MK3 will cost but 5300 btu is a monster portable unit!
I just checked out the Zero Breeze website and I did see the Mark 3 is on pre-order. It’s also heat and cool. I think I will wait on that one to come out. Thank you for bringing that to my attention!
Next time you leave the main unit outside the tent run the intake hose inside the tent as well to recycle and it will cool much more quickly. I'm no expert, so suggestion option only, God bless.

Yes sir, it was sold several months ago. It was a great camper but it was a single axle and it was built out of wood material. This new one is boat composite and has an off road suspension.

Congrats on the new trailer! The VTW camper didn’t last long. Did you have any issues with it? My Power Wagon only gets 12.5mpg not towing anything. lol
No sir the VIntage Trailer was great but it had a single axle and it wasn’t an off road camper. It was great for easy campgrounds but I’m planning an Alaskan trip next year for the off road camper suits me better! Thanks for watching Paul! Gas is cheap in TN but in Florida it was .50 cents higher! LOL
@@sempergumbie good to hear! I have thought about an off-road teardrop or square drop and VTW is next door in Alabama so I’ve kept an eye on them. I am not sure how I feel about wood construction though. I like what TCC is doing too. Luckily we have a few good options in the SE.
I still have a good relationship with VTW folks, they are great folks. My type of camping has elevated to the next level so I was honored to have met Joe and was glad we collaborated to build a camper for me. Where are you located? Florida?
How far down did you make it before you hit that campground? It kind of looks like the one I hit on the way to the SAVE just north of Valdosta... but you would have to be rolling to make it that far the first day.
