I'm(Erica) from North Central Florida, and David is from North Central Kansas. We met on #30A and fell in love. The 30A name comes from a road in South Walton County that spans roughly 20 miles along the Florida Panhandle coastline. It can be found in the stretch between Destin and Panama City Beach. We got married at Camp Helen State Park in Inlet Beach, and live in Seagrove Beach on 30A, where David has resided for 14 years and we’ve resided together for 5 years. We wanted to start a Channel that would better reflect the interactions we have with the businesses and people living on 30A year round. Most videos are from real estate agents talking about the thousands of incredible multi-million dollar homes here, and the lifestyle that comes along with #beachlife. We started this #travelvlog to share our “real-life” experiences with locals and tourists on the Emerald Coast, and specifically 30A locals, and the millions of people that vacation on 30A in Florida every year.
I bet these neighbors hate publicizing things like this! There is no problem parking over at the okaloosa beach accesses but nobody seems to want to go there, which makes it great actually
Thank you so much for commenting. Jim Shirley is a real gem. Great Southern could easily claim the title for the best restaurant on 30A. If you've been there since 84 then you have seen A LOT of changes. I'm sure it's a mixed blessing.
It depends on what you call affordable? To put it plainly? NO. They increased our rent by $900 in one month. 30A has become one of the most expensive places in the country.
It sucks. It didn't used to be that way. David talks about working at the UPS Store and easily affording a 2 bedroom condo on 30a in Seagrove. In 2020 we saw a house a block away from us listed for $22 million and we knew it was the begging of the end for affordability along 30a. All of our friends and co-workers were eventually displaced because of prices.
First time here (intending to move to "Grayt Beach," so double thanks for this. LOVED the anecdote about he dog wall. Reminds me of the dogs in Terlingua, TX, in the 1990s.
You might want to check out Wewahitchka Florida close to Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach.Wewahitchka if I spelled it correctly is the home of Tupelo Honey, the Dead Lakes and it was also where the movie Ulee's Gold was filmed at starring Peter Fonda..I just like catchy town names.
Congratulations! I wanted a girl so bad to dress up and have daughter and mother outings together for life.. I think that is so sweet mother and daughter doing many things together... like shopping and spa days...etc You are a lucky mom to one day to do those things with your daughter.🥰👭👩👧
Hi guys, was elated to see your shorts and a few episodes starting back up a few months ago, but then abruptly stopped. Hope all is well with you two, the Chicken, and all the extended family (both blood and non blood). Take care, and hope to see you again soon.
All is well. We will have a new short coming out tomorrow. All will be explained. Thank you so much for watching and your concern. It makes us feel very blessed.
As soon as we got in the boat they talked about how it could go 50 mph and I thought “no way” 🙄I was really wrong. There was so much wind you could barely look forward.
We shot the footage for this a few months ago so we are not officially back yet, however there is things happening behind the scenes to hopefully make that happen. Meanwhile, we would be honored to meet you sometime. Next time you are on 30A we will see if we can coordinate it.🤗
nice to see you back, I'd love to see an episode about the off the touristy areas of Seaside and Watercolor, such as the large flat gathering areas in the backsides of those neighborhoods. and also some of those trails that go through the backside of the areas. I appreciate the work you do,
That's an excellent suggestion, and we are absolutely on board with it. In fact, we already showcased the one located behind Alys Beach, and it's been a hot topic of discussion among people. While the video is a bit lengthy, we also explored the bike trails through Watercolor on the serene backside of Western Lake. Here is that video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cZf_eD3tPgU.html

Thank you so much for writing that! I woke up David this morning to read it. You made our day. We are working so hard to make more content and we will be back in the area soon. We are having a real trouble finding a place to live in the 30A area. However we will make it work. Thank you again so much for watching and your kind words.

Oh my gosh. Im so sorry I didn’t reply to this sooner. So nice to meet you! I know exactly where Overland Park is because David’s sister taught school there for many years. Did you see the burnt ends tour we did in Kansas City. We turned it into a top 10 episode of where to get the best burnt ends in Kansas City. Thank you so much for your kind words and maybe we will see you around 30A.❤️Erica
