great tutorial! one question, what is the purpose of the last step with the 2 (13cm x 4cm fabric) that you fold over on the sides? is it just to reinforce the seams? what would happen if i skipped this last part? thank you :)
Thankyou so much 🥰. I would suggest not to skip the last part. It is the binding of raw edges. Without it the thread from fabric will slowly start getting lose. So it is better to bind the raw edges. Hope it helps
Great tutorial. I like that the lip balm will not fall out because of the cover. The Velcro closure is nice for people with arthritis and can’t pull apart snap closures. Thank you for sharing. 😃
Thank you so much for your hard work and generosity in creating this video. Besides top stitching, what seam allowance are you using. Is it 1 cm? Thank you ❤
Hey I have reuploaded the link in my video description. You can get the template from here: www.crafthike.com/learn-with-me/diy-drawstring-backpack-with-a-flap/
Hi my aunt gave me a singer machine she has never used it and doesn't know how to sew, Probleit doesn't have a bobin çase , is it ok to use it without a bobin case
For the front panel you should cut 12x40 cm pieces (supposing 1 cm seam allowance) instead of 17x40 cm.... Otherwise the front panel will be much wider than the back panel. The width of the panels is 37 cm, the length is 52 cm, same size as lining.
Your hands go out of the line of sight at the most crucial part of the video and i wasn't able to truly see, much less follow, how to box the corners and then bring them together!!! I guess I'll have to search other tutorials... 😢
Loved the bag, but is it possible to provide the template? Tried to make one, but the sizing seems doesn't match as to what you have shown in the video. Really sad it didnt turn out right @crafthike
The back strap pieces are listed at 32cms. There is no way that those pieces cut as shown in your video are 32cms - I have cut mine and they don't come anywhere near the size you show in the video. Mine need to be at least another 10-15cms longer.
Although it is a nice pattern there is an awful lot missing. You don't list the ring sliders for the back straps, the d rings, clips and webbing for the carry strap. The labelling of the pieces differ to the pictures and I'm not sure what the zip fabric of 1.5cm x 4.5cm refers to.
Hey thankyou so much for your honest feedback. This will help me improve my patterns. I will keep all the points in mind and not only update this one but will include all this in my upcoming videos and patterns. Thankyou once again
Walaikum salam. Thankyou so much for this feedback. I will try to minimize the brightness in my upcoming videos 😊 Tutorial are made for you people and whats the point if you cannot see them clearly. Thankyou once again 🥰
