this movie is my #1 fav film of all genres, of all time. i stumbled upon your page just after this year's Friday the 13th. i love it so much! you crack me up!!
The real horror of this movie is the religion and this movie nailed it spot on when I say religion is the root cause of murder! People getting killed in the name of god plays the role including mothers who kill their own kids is a good reminder of one of the reasons why I don't want to raise a family of my own. Another reminder even if I wanted to marry, I'd marry a fellow atheist like myself who doesn't care to raise those little goddamn fuckers you call kids! If only they didn't drag religion/mythology into this movie, it would've been more enjoyable! I'd prefer The Exorcist despite it's mythological/science fictional delusion themes but there's great justification to make something worth watching to make your imagination run wild! This movie on thee other hand, all its good for is just another type of ASMR you can fall asleep on that's goddamn it!
Jesus goddamn motherfucking christ I remember when I first saw this in the theaters when I was 5 years old and I loved it right away. Then some time after when I watched it on tv, I watched The Running Man afterward that both starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jessie Ventura and not to mention, The Running Man was written by Stephen King who went by the name Richard Bachman for some reason. For the sake of watching a Stephen King movie starring Arnold, it would be The Running Man!
LOL! "what if they conceive John? no.... the timeline doesnt work for that because the war happens in a few years..." - thats so awesome. you were correct with your theory but you forgot how long ago this movie was made. you probably said "war in a few years" because it said 2029 at the start and its 2024 in real life, but the actual movie is set in 1984 so theres 40 years between the two. its cool that the movie holds up so well you lost track of the time.
Goddamn! M3GAN was great but it doesn't beat Chucky from the Child's Play franchise. In fact, if you never seen Child's Play, you'd be in for a treat! M3GAN is like the offspring of The Terminator and Chucky if you ask me! Oh and speaking of female scientists/motherly roles, you should check out the movie Splice! 2 rebel scientists while the girlfriend doesn't want to have kids but makes a human animal hybrid as a sort of surrogate child only to raise and abuse it is when things get out of hand! Much like this movie!!
6 out of 10? Dated? The only movies that are any good are "dated", nothing but crap made nowadays, with the lame jump-scares you were anticipating. Now weren't the jump-scares in this movie much more creative and not cliche', like modern movies? And they didn't have to rely on jump scares in the first place! The acting was top notch, it's the greatest horror movie ever made!😊
The real horror of this show is James Bond is in it! Barry Nelson from the Original 1950's B&W adaptation of Casino Royale playing as Mr. Ullman the head of The Overlook!! Jesus fucking christ this too was a good movie for it's time! My sister and I would watch it everyday in my room on the VHS format. She had a crush on Danny and I'd never understand why but I myself always thought Shelly Duvall was very scary looking! No wonder why Jack went mad!!!
I don't know if you'll see this, but this was the song they used on the TV commercials for The Crow. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0YoMUcvKcBQ.htmlsi=nTYpYdCD8uqt_1T2
All the movies you watch on this channel I own on DVD and House Of 1000 Corpses is to me one of the best movies I own! I love the Firefly family a lot with Otis being my favorite one of them all! He was even better in The Devil's Rejects and 3 From Hell! I love entire trilogy which was good. You gotta check out the other 2!!
'77 baby here & I've seen 2 out of 3 you requested. Never watched Black Sabbath but the other two were a huge part of my childhood. Love Phantasm & Fright Night is a classic. Look for reactions to FN all the time 😊.
@@iveywebb I’m a ‘77 baby too, just had a b day. Black Sabbath is great and I didn’t really expect it to be. Great technicolor Italian style film. It’s worth watching just for the “old woman” segment alone. Check it out!
Kat, this film's premise of an adult pretending to be a kid, and being adopted by family after family, is actually a true story. The real girl wasn't a killer, but she *was* a con artist. She'd get adopted, rob the family blind, and move on.
I forever associate this movie with Merle Haggard’s Mama Tried song. I can’t think about this movie without screaming that song at the top of my lungs.
There's an old TV series called Webster. The actor was named Emmanuel Lewis. He looked like a very young child, but was an adult. He had pituitary dwarfism. Even now at 51 he looks young.
my mum saw this when it first came out she said there were priests waiting outside the cinema to bless people it was banned for a very long time. the young actress wasn't allowed to see the movie because she was underage lol
The Monster Squad (1987) The Shining (1980) Fright Night (1985) Evil Dead 2 (1987) Army of Darkness (1992) Evil Dead (2013) Don't Breathe ( 2016) Terrifier 2 (2022) Child's Play (1988) Sleepaway Camp (1983) Black Christmas (1974)
K@t🧡your reaction⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐to this movie ORPHAN👍👍👍👍👍was so enjoyable and you were absolutely right the character Esther was so creepy and so dangerous .. she had to be stopped one way or another .. she was pure Evil .. I here there's a prequel out there some where .. you might want to look into that if you are interested .. well till next time K@t.. please try to enjoy your weekend💛always .. M@x.😔
I wasn't a big fan of the brother, to the point that I wouldn't have been upset if Esther had killed him, lol. Max, the little sister, was freaking adorable though. The scariest scene for me was when Esther shoved her in the path of the car, poor sweetie. As for the plot twist, I predicted it because I had heard of a similar case a few years prior. I think that case was also adapted into an episode of Law & Order or something.
Loving the Hill House reactions! I don’t know if you’re planning on watching any other shows from the flanaverse but if you ever find the time I noticed that you watched the Interview with the Vampire film pretty recently and I think it would be cool if you were to check out the amc’s show as well!
the medallion is a st christopher, which was ripped from damien carriss's neck which was also found at the archelogical dig if you recall at the begining, st christopher is the patron saint of travellers as well as other things, maybe lost cause's etc
I’m pretty sure this was inspired by a real case of a family adopting a girl who turned out to be much older than they thought. This is a bit different. In the real case the adopted girl was allegedly acting out in disturbing ways but there was also evidence of the parents being abusive.
