Hi everyone! Christopher here. Thank you for taking the time to visit my channel. Don't forget to subscribe to stay updated on my latest releases and behind-the-scenes content. I'm also on Spotify and Apple Music, for easy access to all my music!
A prayer of a European faith, that itself originated from the middle east, sung in an African language, composed by an American, who is of Asian parentage. This piece really does span the entire globe doesn't it?
It's not just beautiful to hear but beautiful to watch too. When people of different backgrounds/cultures/genders/ages/faiths work together we make the world a more beautiful place for everyone. Very lovely indeed!
In retrospect, you can sort of tell this is a modernish Christian song by the way it’s structured and the way the people sing it. The vocals have an inflection similar to christian rock lol.
Love this! And I think the singing is honestly great! Of course it's not a professional performance - but having the ability to sing at any level is so useful from a composer's perspective as it allows you to share your vision and ideas with collaborating artists much more efficiently :)
Not sure if you've seen but this year, four brilliant Japanese figure skaters have performed brilliantly to some of your works: Sota Yamamoto used this piece for his free skate, Hana Yoshida used Temen Oblak for her short program, Rino Matsuike used Lux Aeterna for her free skate, and Mao Shimada used Mado Kara Mieru for her free skate.
My first time listening right here right now (I never played the video game) and it escalated as one of the most beautiful main menu themes ever along with farcry 4 blood dragon main theme song.
BigUp from South Africa. I've been playing this masterpiece on repeat since I found it. Thank you Chris for making the world more beautiful today than it was yesterday.
I cry when I hear this. Bravo!!! Great person was born, great work created! Thank you so much, dear Christopher! God save Christopher! Long live Christopher!
Re-prising Nessun Dorma in this manner is a good artistic choice. I think, if there was someone who could have helped Puccini "break-thru" the last Act back in those days, he may have finished the opera. A lot of people forget that Turandot was left unfinished for a long time, and he wasn't even interested to go back to that opera, because he couldn't reconcile the story. Also, as a lot of his other operas showcases strong female persona, by killing off Liu, in my opinion, it also killed his interest to finish the opera. It is always tricky trying to complete the work of other composers, especially if you are not living during his time, and experiencing the culture of those yesteryears, but updating it to suit a more modern audience without going off-tangent like some other productions, and remain grounded is probably the best way to pay homage to a great composer, who have given so much melodious arias to the world. All I would say is, good job, and I look forward to your next album.
