Would you be able to make a tutorial video on how to assemble your customs? I’ve been trying to make a Vtoys Omni man but I cannot figure where to get the boots
Sure thing! I'll try, but if you look at my Nota Toys review, I assemble my Bruce Lee (Game of Death in yellow). I basically just go to eBay and do a search for what I need. In your specific case, i would type: "1/12 Vtoys boots" and check out what's available. Also, don't hesitate to private message the seller and ask specific questions. GPSlot is a good seller (although there are many more). And check back often and frequently, because their stock is always changing! Good luck!
Yeah, but i don't like removing arms/legs if I don't have to. There's no need for the plastic hoodie when I'm just going to replace it with a soft goods one!
complaining about weight....hollow plastic is better for the joints, its not cheap, obviously its also a cost saving, but its easier on the figure when they dont have to counter balance parts because the arm is too heavy.
The double ball peg system works well, and if done right affords just as much range as a hinge up and down with the added benefit of tilt. The problem is that Hasbro cannot make a functional double ball peg to save their lives, consistently botching it's implementation.
I wanted the 97’. Tiger stripes yellow suit (the retro card has one but he doesn’t have the cowl’d head, just 2 unmasked heads)but I like this look too minus no boot swivel, I’m digging the other updates. Plus he’s got extra accessories.
This is why I’ve dropped ML for mafex. Hasbro continues to make minimum improvements and at the same time make things worse. You end up buying three of the same wolverine figures with slight improvements while Mafex makes one sick ass wolverine figure with great articulation.
Ah! Thanks! I bought him from BBTS and no where did they include "Muff Toys" (though I've definitely heard of them), nor was Muff Toys mentioned anywhere on the box. That's very weird, but I do see other sites listing it. I wonder why the info is so inconsistent?
Hey man, got a bit of a specific request but I was thinking of making a battle damaged Bruce Wayne figure (shirtless, bandaged up etc.) based on the Sovereign Knight Mezco Batman, but I was wondering what blank buck you would recommend to match the height and musculature of the Sovereign Knight, he’s got quite a beefy chest so I’m struggling to decide which one would match the height and width of him. Hey! Thanks for the nice words, much appreciated!! I think, if you're looking for a Mezco Batman comparable figure, its without a doubt the GW Toys 001 body. I don't have Sovereign, but I do have Supreme Knight and I'm comparing it right now as I type this, and height, thickness, musculature... it's GW Toys 001. NW Toys is a tad too slim (he'd be perfect for a NightWing) and Vtoys is taller (which I prefer, but you're asking specifically to fit Mezco, so that's a no-no). It's GW Toys all the way. I do see some availability on Aliexpress if you're comfortable going that route; I've ordered many figs from there and never had a problem! Good luck!!

Neck dumbbell joints are amazing. Too bad hasbro doesnt know how to execute it properly. They bury the ball joint too deep in the neck. If it was short and shallow on the neck, it would have been awesome!
I started collecting the SHf Street fighters at the beginning and Figuarts has seriously pissed me off with the time schedule, switched to Jada now and I get 3 of them for the price of just 1 Figuarts fig. Well done Figuarts well done now licka my hole. I don't agree with everything u said though like the Elbow swivel which is actually Human Body correct we as humans dont have a bicep swivel.

I might go with Adam at the moment, only because it's so unique. There are plenty of blank bodies that fit the Vtoys 'niche' (size/scale). But there isn't a big beefy blank body like Adam (now right now anyway). But it all depends on who you're trying to make. For Superman? I think Vtoys is perfect. Adam is more for a Thor, Hercules, Luke Cage (maybe even a smaller/1st appearance Venom or Bane???).
We all have our reasons for collecting. As your channel's name implies, your criteria is about articulation, and I respect that. Warbird a.k.a. Ms. Marvel has always been my favorite female superhero. This costume particularly. The past versions were not that great. This has a better face sculpt and articulation than what came before, so I'm happy with that. However, my biggest problem with this figure is the height. She's too short to be posed with my main collection which is Marvel Legends. She's more compatible with S. H. Figuarts and Mafex. I'm hoping that we might get a better version later on. Maybe Mafex, Mezco or S. H. Figuarts can put out their take on this costume. Until then, I will happily keep this in my collection.
For me, I’m getting 2 of these, 1 for a classic Mcfarlane Venom where he wasn’t gigantic tall, the other I’ll swap the arms out for a slimmer pair and turn him into Jim Lee Magneto
This fig is so close. I really like the sculpt and painted arm hair. The claws are actually pretty nice. He’s a little big but it’s not too bad. The limited torso articulation is understandable to me cuz he’s bulky but the missing boot swivel really limits things and the missing neck hinge is just sort of a kick in the teeth. Not only is he kinda tall for a Wolverine but you can’t even pose him in crouching stances cuz he just stares at the floor. Really sucks too cuz all of these issues are solved on the 97 version that’s been on my shelf for months.

Do you mean the body fits the Mezco head? Or the mezco head fit on these bodies? Either way, it depends on the body... but you can always modify the Mezco head with a bit of blue tacky (Amazon) or if you're bold enough use some hot glue to fill in the hole.
Im a HUGE fan of the Luke Cage Iron Fist 2 Pack..& as far as im concerned that small lack of neck articulation is NOT an issue That being said.. you are definitely entitled to your opinion brother! 👑

I'm terribly disappointed to see that neck issue. I've been giddily looking forward to these since the promo pics. Big fan of these guys back in the day. For Danny it only makes sense for him to be able to look up but I would also really want to have Luke charging forwards and yes, looking up as he does it. I'm being much more selective these days as well but since I don't have any version of comic Danny or Luke I'll probably still get this pack. Perhaps I can create the trench for the neck peg myself.
