I started my channel as a bit of a repository for some of the more pertinent information about drones & FPV that I've collected over hundreds of hours of wading through RU-vid content.
AcruxFPV is taken from Acrux or Alpha Crucis, the brightest star in the constellation of the Southern Cross, & obviously FPV. The Southern Cross has been used for many years to find due South, my home South Oz.
My own videos are a bit of a chronicling of my journey into FPV, which I started in April 2022. I'm fortunate enough to have had some amazing guidance from a bunch of pretty incredible people who have been so generous with their time, advice & expertise.
I am now a CASA licensed UAV/FPV drone pilot, thanks to the support and guidance of the team at FPV Australia and hope you enjoy the footage of South Australia's stunning Eyre Peninsula.

Thanks mate! Glad it came together reasonably well. I hate colour-grading (mostly because I'm crap at it), but getting the Mavic 3 Pro and FPV GoPro footage to blend well was a bit trickier than usual. ☺🤙

Cheers mate! I had to put that bit in with the mandatory sound effect! LOL! It's a tight track, so I'm looking forward to doing a bit more work with the club. Had to keep my distance in this one, too many riders, even though I'm rated for proximity, I take safety very seriously. Maybe when I get to do a few 1:1 chases we can get some awesome footage. 🤙😉
Hi mate, no problems. I use crossfire and have never had an issue. The VTX dropped low at one point in this flight due to some interference, but not terrible. 👍
Ah mate, thanks for the comment. I have to tell you, the Chimera 7 Pro V2 is certainly not an FPV quad for beginners. If you've never flown FPV before, you're going to need to do a LOT of research and simulator practice. Flying FPV is a very steep learning curve and not at all like flying a DJI drone. 😉

Amazing! loved the flight! Can you tell what was the max distance between you and the drone? I’m looking to get the BOB57 and wondering what is the max safe range. Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by, and I appreciate the sub. Subbed back. BOB57 is built to be a versatile quad, mid to long range. In this video I was in the middle of the beach, with my spotter, and I think max distance in either direction was 400-500m. I have known of others to take BOB out well over the 2km mark. If you're looking for a good 6" quad, the BOB doesn 't disappoint. I also have the iFlight F6X, which is slightly heavier and faster. If I'm heading out the door and need something all-purpose, I take BOB. 👍😉

@@VideoAve It's my pleasure. The Moz7 is also an excellent quad for longer range, but I prefer the Chimera 7 Pro Hd V2 personally, having owned 3 of them. Still, even today when I went out to shoot, I chose BOB over my 7" builds because I needed the versatiltiy and agility that it affords. If you need any further help with BOB, drop me a line. 👍
very cool. he is haulin a$$! sorry to hear about gopro trouble. show exactly once again why i dont use gopro anymore. i couldn't handle the frustration. you were pushing the BOB pretty much for keeping up with him or was it fine? looks really fast
I've never chased anyone as quick as him! I was really pushing BOB. I think I'm going to have to use one o fmy faster 5" builds next time. I just like the battery time I get with a 6" - maybe I'll just have to build a faster 6"! 🤣
1:05 you can see him sitting there (boat on the left). I guess taking pics. 1:25 I start eating wake at 82kph. great fun, Then 1:37 I abort going left and head hard right across the mess the rescue boat has created. @@AcruxFPV
@@AcruxFPV i was talking about the other drone you got. isnt there footage included here? reverse flight and the amateur tilting to one side to desperately keep the first boat in frame? 🤣
