I've heard it was discontinued, but I found it on Amazon for less than $150. So either they spun up the factory and made another batch, or there's some unsold stock. Either way, yoink. The fact that it uses CR2's is kind of annoying. It's a small price in comparison to the film, but still. For the size it feels like they could've squeezed in a 2x AA or 2x AAA battery slot. Maybe they really didn't want people using alkalines in it. But I would figure most people into photography have a drawer full of NiMH cells.
I checked them out recently, but I don't think they work with 110, which I still shoot a lot. The Dark Room does, so I use them often. I live in Florida and I get my scans for 35mm about 6 to 7 days after i've dropped the envelope in the mail, which is faster than some of my local labs. 110 takes longer tho - close to 9 or 10 days.
I have an local camera shop that develops film at a reasonable price of $8 and I scan them myself with a very shoddy setup + DSLR. But I do have to remember to go to that specific shop as apparently their chain location doesn't share the same prices ($20 for develop only which is the same price as dev + scan.... dont ask how I found that out...).
Walgreens develops 110 film, but it takes two months and a managerial call by Walgreens to Fuji to actually receive it 😅 I was able to get three rolls of film for free (two 35mm and the 110 film) because they mixed up and messed up my order so bad. Alas, 110 film is still my favorite 😂❤
about the feature thing i think there are 2 target groups competing. I want to gift this to my girlfriend and the design is just much better as a gift, also that it has less features is better as she don't want to do anything, just quick funny fotos when she is in a group etc. any feature would be confusing and they she doesn't care for the perfect picture and only cares for the "vibe"
Hey what’s going on thanks for your videos I have a Polaroid one 600 iv been using since high school and into adult hood , it broke this morning .. I dropped it and a bunch of pieces fell off and out . I was wondering would you recommend trying to replace the one 600 or maybe upgrade to a better newer Polaroid . And could you recommend one for me ? I don’t want or need any of usb ports or digital options .. thank you in advance !
I've rang 3 camera shops today asking if they had any poloroid cameras, I could use on manual mode. Even though they have this in stock at the store, they didn't seem to mention these brands had a manual mode. Cant understand why they didn't mention this camera had this feature..
You didn't ruin it. If you scanned it and maybe make an enlargement it will look artsy. No mistakes just happy accidents. When I used that film I carried a book with me . I put the it in a book which smooshed it in place and then opened it after 2 minutes.
how about putting the lens cap on your pocket kinda hard to get the sensors aimed to the cap in your pocket too so if you start hitting the buttons accidentally maybe the clothing could interfere with the signal as well and it certainly would be quite rare for it to be aimed at the camera while on your pocket and that also resolves the issue of just missing countless of shots because its all black
scalpers and hoarders are pretty much the only reason why this stuff is over $100 per box. I'm sure there's enough stock out there to last another 6 years but most of it will inevitably stop working and never be shot
Got the course last year, appreciate the free update. Just started playing with nighttime photography last month, so this is great timing. If your on the fence about the course i say get it, cant go wrong when its on sale. Totally worth it at full price to.
The price is a bit steep and the size is a bit bulky, so as a tinkerer, I can get a non functioning WM-F202 for $150 and size slightly larger of a cassette case (if im lucky it only needs belt, if I find more problem like crack gears and missing parts, then it will cost me nearly twice (refurbished ones cost upward 300-400). However, it is a good effort and dont have to deal with headach of repair.
Your thumbnails are incredibly obnoxious and i only clicked this video to comment that. i am about to download an extension specifically to block your channel so the thumbnails do not show up, that is how offputting they are. Im sorry if nobody has informed you of this yet, good luck growing your channel man!
I flew with polaroid go film, it got messed up. all the pictures shot looked very pinkish and grainy but also had a interesting aesthetic that i would love too shoot again with. Im wondering if the polaroid film for 600/i-type and sx-70 is stronger against x-rays than go film.
I don't think the deletion of the Lighten/Darken function in the wide 400 is a big deal. This is the only thing that the 400 lacks over the 300. But it's not needed 'cause both 300 & 400 cameras have a very narrow program shutter speed (1/64-1/200) with a fixed F/14 lens. You can't play much with exposure compensation with these limited functions. In the wide 300, whenever sun starts to set or becomes cloudy, the image comes out very underexposed even if Light mode is used, due to these limited exposure triangle. So I think it's not a big deal to exclude the exposure compensation function in the wide 400. However I appreciate the inclusion of the self timer & the way the camera is turned on in the 400. The wide 300 is notorious of turning on by mistake when kept inside the camera bag because of the way the button is placed. Also i think by manually turning on the lens, it also saves battery. Ultimately hope Fujifilm makes another wide camera with a wider program shutter speed (like the Instax mini 99 shutter speed of 1.8 sec-1/400), along with exposure compensation dial seen on the mini 99 & the ability to turn off the flash.
