Wow, I sure wish you would have done a video of taking the bottom off and putting it back on! I needed to replace the needle plate on mine as it had a pretty intense needle mark from being hit maybe one too many times and the bobbin jumping up and out, so as I was removing the needle plate and then I was going to take the bobbin holder out, I ended up dropping one of the screws down inside the machine. I have now removed the bottom cover and then the metal thing under the needle olate where the bar thing turns and I think it’s what you pushed in this video to line things up for your bobbin case. Anyway, even after removing Jose things, I still can’t find the screw! I’m finding the more things I’ve take. Off the machine the harder it’s getting to remember what screw formed where. I found diagrams but there is nothing like a video to show you how to do things. So here I am going to go thru more videos and hopeful find one that can help me get the machine back together. I keep getting so frustrated I want to throw the machine out the window. JK I would never do that, but I did go buy another machine cuz I’ve been wanting to see my granddaughters aprons and have them cut out and ready to go and I also have a pile of makeover items cuz I’m short and have to alter a lot of my clothes. Anyway, wish me luck! Your video has at least inspired me! There is a 3 week backlog at the repair shop and it’s probably a $90 charge for my screw up in the first place. This stuff is fairly easy but when it takes too long to get something back together I forget what went where. (Short term memory due to lack of good sleep heheh). I do have a very mechanical friend who lives 2 hours away I can take it to to put It back together. He just has lots of STUFF all around hi lm and I wouldn’t want any of my parts lost. Thanks for the renewed inspiration from your video!
I have a brand new machine and the internal bobbin thing doesn’t move at all. Normal or not? I’m not going to take apart the machine and may need to return it.
I have a singer quantum stylist 9960. This is what my machine is doing. It’s not picking up the bobbin thread and my needle is scraping the bottom after I took the pressure plate the bobbin out it’s not going in that little groove and it’s missing it so I had to see if I can fix it because there’s a repair man 45 minutes from me that wants to charge me just $50 to look at my machine, lol please pray that I can fix this. Thank you so much for sharing. I also was fixing a pair of jeans when this happened to my machine I just bought it hadn’t had it not but two months and only used it three times. Thank you so kindly please pray I can fix this. I am learning how to sew. God bless.
I’ve watched many videos and spent the past 9 hours doing this. Why can’t I figure it out?!?! I loosed the Alan key screws and I can’t move the metal hook without it moving the needles with it.
😢😢😢😢🎉🎉🎉🎉 you might have save me I’m gonna see if I can try to do this because I cannot find anyone to fix my sewing machine and they claim it will take so long to get it done. If they did get it they’re booked for like a year or so I said what.
I would like to thank you so much, because after paying 45 dollars to chat with zinger appliance technician with no help I watched you and it helped me so thank you.
