Hi Chris. Is anyone making crankcase stuffers today , believe R.G. is no longer with us (r.i.p) and does modern technology allow cylinder bores to be brought back to std size.?
You were lucky to have some memories of those days, my recollections are from my parents and the photographs that dad took when he was there. As they say, "The Good O'l ( Happy ) Days. Happy Chinese Laundry!
Beautiful resto. Wish they made this style now just plain old.bulletproof utilitarian style vehicle. Is that a multimeter input with black and red inputs on the guage cluster?
Hi, thanks for the compliments. The Red and Black terminal sockets are just a 12v take off for any accessory using those round plugs. (1971 USB socket) 👍
BEAUTIFUL! Just... a perfect restoration, the good roof, the good rear door (I don't like the Spanish one 😁) the perfect color, (I mean, it's a Land Rover so... this green is "the color") perfect tires and of course white (I see a lot of black ones these days and think... No no noooo 😆) I really like this 4x4 without roof for the summer so may be need some modification to the interior of the doors (and the rear small one) to be even better but is the best and good looking restoration I see, congratulations 👋, some day I'll got one like this and restore it almost identically, I see a lot of vids and pictures and imagine things to do in a series (2A preferred) and yours is the best dude 👍 thanks for the video, regards from Bolivia.
Josh Withers was tyhe inspiration for me to do this and the seat came from the USA. Check this out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HcAVp3299Cw.html&ab_channel=Petrolicious
Great job👍 I love 2 strokes sound and smell , between 1972 and 1979 I have had Kawasaki 500 H1, 750 H2 and 500 H1R used in races…nice toys at this time.
My father was stationed at RAF Changi 1959-1962. He was on National Service and signed on for an extra year. They sent him to work in signals, just down the hill from the hospital. This has since been turned into a restaurant . I presently live in Singapore and regularly make the trip to Changi with my wife and kids and always think of my father, who was a young east London lad who was sent on this wonderful adventure, which not only changed his life forever, but had a profound influence on all of my family. Thank you for the wonderful video!
Absolutely perfect work, may I ask a questions who sells the round head original rivets, until today 7 Land Rovers, my first car at 17 y/o SWB Series I 1954, Series IIa 1964, 2 Santana's, 2 Series III 1980, 1979 CKD Venezuela Range Rover Classic, all the Best

@@TheTanfieldKid hi bud sorry to be a pain! I am really struggling anyone in the UK to mix those codes. Been sent 2 sample now and they totally wrong! Please please could you send me either the name of the shop who mixed yours or if you have a sample left over I could pay for? Please any help would be appreciated! As you know the colour makes or brakes it
Who supplied you the small gauges either side of the main ones ? I need to get for mine, I see ones a clock and maybe a voltage meter. Any chance you could tell me what the rest are please
I got these off ebay but several people have asked me about this and I have tried to help them but cannot find anyone who still does them. A real pity. You might try the USA. Good Luck! 👍
talk about a restoration that will take this landy into the 20nd century with ease. Defiantly something to be proud off, a lot of hard work, most defiantly but so so rewarding. To think about all those genuine parts that are inside and hidden from pain view but helping every bit out with the smooth mechanical operation!
