I didn't watch this dude at the time of his actual fights. I only came across his videos during a night of boredom. Kung Fu and anything relative to it is fascinating to me because it is warfare in its primal form which is another thing that does the same. However, boxing was always a turn off for me because it never seemed to flow spontaneously. Seeing how Augustus was done dirty has only strengthened this feeling. I watched a video in which the narrator broke down his fighting style in technical form. Dude was on his own level. Clearly one of the best in the game. The unorthodox aspect of his style exposed just how many in the craft on a professional level probably didn't deserve to be there and I think he was robbed for this reason. Doesn't change anything though. His legacy is sealed. Much respect to his skill and technique. I just wis "professional" boxing gave it the same.

John recently passed. As an Edmonton kid in the 1980s this was the guy the entre city listened to Oilers post game. His program was amazing. Always a gentlemen, eloquant, extremley intelligent, and a downtown to earth human being. Edmonton loses a giant! Much respect John. Dearly missed. Not forgotten.
