How do you deal with Diesel Particulate filter( DPF) and EGR valve issues that normally getting clogged in Xtrail T31 diesel and sets this Car into limp mode and lacking power?
No Issues at all. I use a fuel treatment every month or so and regular servicing is key. Fuel filter every service good oil good fuel, oil catch can help too. And dont forget ... DRIVE IT! all the littl etrips around town leaves extra deposits. Xtrail have an auto DPF burn you will notice when you are on a long drive randomly youll see your fuel consumption go to 10 or 11 lt/100km that the car doing a DPF burn.
@@poordirk2710 in my country x trail is very rare, the car cannot be sent to dealer as they cost way too much..so i cant know if the mechanic i sent did a great job..but basing on the probs, can you atleast if you know tell me what might wrong? So i can start from there..
Xtrail dont have locking differential they do have electronic centre lock that enages all 4 wheels up to 40kph otherwise its electronic all wheel drive,
I think thats covered in one of the vids.. I forget the brand but 215,75or85,16 a nice cheap tire seems to be going strong after 45000 of this stuff .. doign another finke river bed drive for the fans so lets see what that looks like
Have you driven a land cruiser four wheel driving? I had one stock standard 2001 with normal tyres and was totally blown away at how good it was in the ruff terrain and yes I've also owned a xtrail t31. Love both but land cruiser way more capable.
Cheers, mate. So very thankful. I just brought one last Friday, trying to set it up today. The instruction booklet is shit. Your video helped a lot, mate. Truly appreciate that. No idea where that internal pole goes, says inside clam shell, buggers me how though. Cheers.
When travelling such long journey 550km or 1000km, does the automatic transmission not going into limp mode at 80mph or 100 mph and limit speed as a result of transmission overheating like in CVT models?
Greetings, I’m from Russia, and I don’t understand why they took out the engine? What happened to it and at what mileage? I myself have the same car 2.0 dCi with manual transmission
I had so many leaks it needed a going over and when you factor into account in australia the mechanics are charging high hourly rats isntead of fishing around the tight engine bay why not drop it and see everything.. Plus found a bunch of stuff i didnt know was broken
Great video guys. Good to see an Xtrail out there doing it tough. Just for info, the T31 diesel has a turbo boost control solenoid which chatters. That's the nosie you can hear in this video. I have this model and I've replaced 3 solenoids in as many years. They're not particularly reliable but the turbo itself is robust. Mine also has the 6 speed automatic transmission, and even here in Europe, the transmission won't shift into 6th gear unless the vehicle speed is at 130 kph. You can get up to 120 kph though, and as long as you are on a straight level road, you can lift your foot off the accelerator briefly and the transmission will shift into 6th. As mentioned here in the comments, you can also shift manually. If Nissan is telling Australian owners that they changed the transmission shifting pattern in the software just for the Australian market, it is an absolute load of crap! I've been following forums and read all the comments and complaints about this and other issues. What surprises me though, is that anyone who is capable of doing a computer software remap should be able to adjust the shift patterns also. If they are able to delete the DPF and EGR choking hazards, then they should be able to alter shift patterns as well. Anyway, that's my 2 bob worth. The T31 is a great all rounder and is certainly capable out in the scrub.
Good job! I did the same with the string, I attached my on the furthest ring window. But the rubber on the edges is great as I got a few cuts from the plastic. But no more as I managed to get full refund on this « ultra comfortable » tent. I really think Kings screw up with releasing a tent that has so many issues.
hahahah im gal dits not just me that read ultra comforatble as some kind of reality! But ive changed mattresses since not using 2 x 10cm colemans slef inflateables works great

i'll be honest, youre talking about how there is no cover for the skylight and there's literally one rolled up next to it. As for the tent you get what you pay for.
@@poordirk2710 I watched the string system on the iKamper 3.0 mini. Draws the sides in as you pull the top down. I’ve already bought the stuff from Bunnings, just waiting for Kings 4wd Supacentre to actually deliver it to the store. Two days has turned into two weeks so far
Nope its a horrizontal pole that goes from the "roof" which becomes the back wall.. there is a loop for it and extendts tp the mi d rib but the collar isnt wide enough so dosnt quite fit
Wow thanks so much for the time its taken you to reply I so much appreciate your wonderfull fullfilling responses :) I will link your new channel in my future vids for you
I have a t31 and looking for a roof top tent was also thinking about the king brand wasnt sure how going to look cool you filmed this will help me decide
For the price its a good buy just have to do some mods to make it better. You will never sleep on that 30mm matress kings know that however its hard to add any other matress that makes sense becuase of the design. Sadly its the same design as alot of these side open tents. Some have been smart and changed out the brackt so it will close 20mm higher then you have a better chance of at the least 40-50mm mattress
Hey mate, Just wondering what wheel and tire size you run? Would I get away with useing them without a lift?Looking to upgrade my T31. Also where did you get your bash plate from?
