Here you will discover videos of our model building, woodshop, lumber milling, and the making of many handcrafted one-of-a-kind items; in addition, we’ll cover a multitude of outdoor projects, our general hobbies, antiques outlines, and basic common interests. This is including the Christian Faith, as we believe that the Lord loves everyone no matter who you are, and we think people should love unconditionally. Glastenbury Vermont is where it all began. Glastenbury Designs will continue to be our channel name. Thank you for visiting our channel and sharing in some of our videos. Sincerely Jason Thomas
The color scheme you describe seems to have a late Eighties or early Ninties vibe. Like something you would have been seen in Popular Hot Rodding, or Car Craft back then. Having said that, those engines were "built" with a whole lot of aftermarket dress up parts thrown at them. Kitbashingwise, the wheels & aftermarket Hemi represented in the 1971 Dodge Charger that Round 2 just rereleased would be perfect in that area. Especiallyif it still comes with the Billet wheels seen in the Street Machine verion. Just a suggestion. It's art, and your are the artist fullfilling your vision. Can't wait to see it progress.
@jasonrothgeb6071 I actually really like that idea. I was wrong also. It's a 95 yamaha banshee. Purple fenders yellow rims, I'm still looking to paint car yellow. I'll definitely look at that 71 charger. Thank you for watching and commenting
@glastenburydesignsoutdoors8039 I just watched the HPI video on that most recent release. It does NOT come with the Billet Wheels that were in the Orange Box Art Street Machine version that came out many years ago, only the stock Rallyes. If that kit is too hard to find and/or pricey, there are some nice Billet wheels in the 1967 Impala Street Machine. That one may be a little easier to find and cheaper.
As for the 'real' cars, yes the Beretta and Corsica were twins. I have driven them and they drive well, but the 4 cyl were pooches. The 2.8 and 3.1 V6s really scooted, and had that great exhaust sound like my Z24s. No airbags in them until very late in the run, 94/95ish. They were just one step above a Cavalier really, and were interesting because the other GM divisions did not get a version. But then Chevy never got a version of the Grand Am/Calais/Somerset Regal, so maybe it all evened out.....
I would soak it in hot water then push GENTLY on the A pillars to get back into shape. Can't hurt to try. I built the same model when I was a kid and used the rear louvers and IROC style hood. In fact I recently unearthed it from my parent's basement - a pretty cool car.
Harbor freight vibratory tumblers say right on them (at least now they do) not to be used to polish rocks or to be used with any wet media. Their vibratory tumblers are strictly for use with dry media such as walnut husks to remove rust from parts. I wish it was more clearly written on the box.
@glastenburydesignsoutdoors8039 your welcome 🙏 and so sorry for my late reply we only just got the power back on due to storms and flooding in Tasmania 🍻
Excellent review Sir! I have built both kits and found them to be great! The Lindberg is a bit more part intensive, but, a very nice build, well both are. Looking forward to the next video. Thank You for sharing with Us. Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
Thank you for watching. I'm just starting a box stock build of a late 80's early 90's Chevy Beretta. Those videos will be out soon. I'm also starting a Facebook group Glastenbury Designs Model Building. Please join and share any photos or videos of your builds. Be safe and God Bless.
Thank You for sharing the unboxing of this kit Sir! It is one great looking kit! I have one lined up purchase and I am looking forward to it! I also would like to applaud the fact that You are a "BUILDER" of kits and not a collector of kits!! Thank You for that as well!! I have just subscribed! Looking forward to more videos from You! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
@russellpoland6637 Thank you for the sub and the great message. I do live to build and collect. I'd like to see you tow truck build. Send a picture when you're done. You also be safe and God Bless.
The flat nose. Those were seen a lot less frequently. Only on short tracks, and I think only the first couple of years that the N Body Monte Carlos were run by GM teams. Once the Aerocoupes were introduced in 1986, no more flat nosed Montes.
Dutch sent me new subscriber #240 you need to get closer to the camera I'm use my phone to watch RU-vid most of the time I can hardly see the parts, invest in a camera stand at Amazon $15 unless you're using a tablet you'll get more veiws........
@Brock-fr3nj good advice. I do have a stand. I just have an old phone for recording. Very low budget, unfortunately. Thank you for watching. I'm trying to improve, I hope you hold on as I try to improve
@WrOnGwAyScALeMoDeLs thank you, that is a great tip. Do you mean like a 2k activator? I just ordered a 2K also. I'm learning the airbrush sort of on the fly
I've never known Dragon Blanchard to have an intact front end.... or backend for that matter... I know he generally runs a dual exhaust out the back... One friday night I saw him miss the entrance for pit road and end up in the concourse where he casually ordered a pint of fries and Starbucks Frappuccino, before heading back to the track and finishing third!!! Man could that guy race!
I built one back in early 80's when I was a kid, far as I can remember it went together with no problem it was one of my nicer builds for my age at the time, I remember enjoying the build, it set on the top of the main TV for a Long time, so my mom must of provided of it lol I picked up one a couple years ago from hobby lobby but haven't got to it yet
I only use Rattle can paint for some parts like the chassis/interior & some small parts and I don’t use rattle can primer for the bodies too many problems everything else is airbrushed.
@Reset317 I've just started airbrush work. My first was a little rough. As those videos come out, I welcome any and all feedback. I have actually considered using basic rattle to paint just as you said and trying to get better at airbrush body paint. Thank you for watching and commenting
@@glastenburydesignsoutdoors8039 it’s not easy starting out I ran into a lot of problems, then I started watching videos and then I was still confused and after a while, I just figured it out, airbrushing!!! there’s a lot of stuff you could learn watching videos, there’s different techniques!! The right air pressure cleaning your airbrush gun using acrylics/lacquers & enamels and thinning the paint and lacquers.
Looks good and I like the dark blue. I built one similar that was molded in red and just clearcoated it out of the box and it came out decently slick. One thing I will say for Monogram is they nailed the factory 4x4 stance on those mid 90s Mustangs LOL . I couldn't get my real-life silver 04 GT stick lowered quick enough.
I think you're mustang turned out great! Don't be too hard on yourself. You are right it is an expression of art. I'm looking forward to your next build. 😎👍
Can I beg you to build Revell's 2nd tooling of this subject released around 2009? I have built both issues, and the 2nd issue so much better than this one. I realize a hobby is about having fun, and if building this kit is how you want to accomplish that, Mopar to ya (Sorry about that pun).
That is great. "Mopar to ya." I'll build this beast and request accepted. I'll begin looking for the kit you said. I love Mopars, so I'm happy to find and buy. Question: Is it something currently on the shelves or more of a model swap/ebay search
