I tested normal for TSH, WHILE I HAD a tumor from thyroid, around my vocal cords, down to chest. WHEN THEY did the neuclear dye test, my R thyroid was dead. I survived and did not have cancer, but it was classed a 5, and was growing as he tool it all, my doctor said it was ready to be cancer. He said to have scans every 6-12, months. Never had I been given one. From 1987- to know, no meds either. What would you thonk of that? I am 71 now, butiing weight, almost 80 + lbs. Doesn't look good. Thanks for any info. GOD BLESS

just get rid of 1 or both lobes then - easy decision

@@firstlast-pt5pp clearly you speak without thinking. I would require thyroid medication for the rest of my life as I would no longer have a thyroid and that medication causes an array of other issues, especially long term

@@MastooraBeautyProducts thinking ... you may have throat cancer - removing a lobe or both is not so bad now is it if that's the problem?

I have nodules of 2mm my gp said that is normal nothing to be concerned about..Should I get a second opinion?

My thyroid nodule is only 2 mm but I initially had the ultrasound because I had an intense pressure sensation when lying down and swollen lymph nodes in my neck. My dr says the tiny node couldn’t possibly give these symptoms… I wonder, though.

Does every harder thyroid nodule always turn out to be cancer?

Thank you for this. I had a CT scan and it just talked about my large thyroid. That was it. My oncologist had no comments to. I suggested that I get an ultrasound and he said yes we can do that. Ultrasound prove an excellent option for detecting, thyroid issues, and in my case, I am going to need to biopsies done on two nodules based on the TIRAD scores. The sad commentary is that when I asked oncologist to schedule an ultrasound he agreed, and he didn’t think that we see anything any different. So he was doing it to me and he didn’t think that there would be anything of value coming out of it, another thing worth mentioning, I had a thyroid panel blood test that looks normal.

CT scan is not good for the thyroid but I think it makes more money for somebody

@@sadie4me2 my thyroid bloods came back normal. I had a biopsy done a few weeks ago. I have a 3cm cyst and multiple nodules on the other side. Goiter and nodules is so common these days apparently its just no longer surprising unless its huge... like 6cm+

3:21 and what would be the reason for that? Sign of inexperience? Intrinsic risk in those imaging techniques? Results unreliable?
