I am a Moroccan Jew. The term mizrahi was invented by Zionists to disregard our religious origins. Our religious origin is to follow the rulings of Rabbi Yosef Karo- a Spanish rabbi. To fulfill the biblical mitzvah of honouring the Torah sages, we call ourselves Sephardic after the rabbi Yosef Karo. The Zionists did not like that we affiliated ourselves with religion, and dubbed us as primitive “easterners” (mizrahi means east in Hebrew). We are proud to be Sephardic. We are proud to have the legacy of the Torah.
Word "Allah" comes from alif, lam, and ha. They call Allah "hu" which means he. In sufi tradition, Allah hu means Allah, He is the One. It is related to the first ayat of suratul Ikhlas. "Qul huwallahu ahad." He is Allah, the One.
