This is bullshit… No matter how you try to explain it Giving alcohol to a person is enabling them to continue. You are helping them to be functioning alcoholics which Is Still killing their body inside. I have been thru countless programs with family members with addictions so I have seen what it does to your body. Once your pancreas gets inflamed from the alcohol it is Very Painful and it Literally affects your entire body. This is so upsetting that there is a Program like this… Imagine laying in a hosp bed for days, with pain at a 10, blood transfusions, being on a vent, having a feeding tube, fluid retention in different parts of your body where you have to have tubes to drain it. Fluid in your abdomen where you can’t breath very well. It’s heartbreaking. All you can do is hold their hand and pray. And encourage them to be strong. My God, giving alcohol to a person just keep encouraging them to think it ok and you need it to function. And only makes them want more. This is enabling the one who drinks. I have seen what it does to a person and the struggles they go thru and I know what how it feels when they treat others. And how it hurts when they do things. I hate to see others go thru this and I pray people will see the light. Helping them to drink(enabling) is not the way to go.

Asking San Francisco for advice on how to fix drug problems, homelessness, is ass backwards. Your programs aren’t working, you’re dealing drugs on taxpayers dime ! What the actual F!

Hi there, thank you for your comment. We are a video production company and not the actual service provider. This is on our channel as an example of a mini documentary we have produced. However, I do know that the work that this organization is involved in has saved countless lives, helped people overcome addiction and transitioned them back into society. The healthcare costs that have been saved as a result of programs such as this far outweigh any impact on the taxpayer. I wholeheartedly agree that not all programs are successful, but unless there are not-for-profits such as these who are willing to invest in research and implement programming to help eradicate social issues we can only expect the worst possible outcomes.

You maybe the video company but the program is involved with this. Maybe the part of the program where it helps people understand what triggers them to drink and help them to stop. Not give them the poison to continue so you they can be functioning alcoholics cause that is all you are doing. And when you do give them the alcohol of course you are going to be close to them cause it’s like you are drinking with them. You are not dealing with the problem in a Healthy way. You can’t really talk and reason with someone who is drinking…. It doesn’t break the pattern.. How can you even get money to do this to someone? Pisses me off. Alcohol hurts people…. I knew someone who died and it affected everyone close to them… Learn why you drink or use and do what you can to stop… 🙏

@@Tammy2223 I totally understand, and I am really sorry that you lost someone. But this program is actually for people with addictions that live on the streets who are turning to alternative substances containing alcohol such as mouthwash and hand sanitizer. These 'non-beverage' products contain chemicals that are lethal when ingested. So the Managed Alcohol Program is a way of helping participants manage their consumption of alcohol, and in particular to help them reduce and eliminate their consumption of harmful non-beverage alcohol. I am a videographer and not a social worker, but I do know that this program has been successful in its quest to eliminate the consumption of harmful non-beverage alcohol and assist people with their quest to become alcohol-free. Take care.

@@a2communications I know about all that and it is sad. People I know have addiction problems and some have been on the streets and still are. And have died from the addictions or are very sick. The alcohol hurts the pancreas and then it affects several areas of your body from that. Fluid builds up in different places in the body and you have to have tubes inserted to drain. Even around your heart. It’s Very painful. You have moments that you may vomit because from the inflammation, meds, feeding tube and the pain. It affects your breathing and your heart rate. You have to be put on dialysis to help clean your blood and help your kidneys. You are at risk for infections and you can’t have surgery. You can even develop blood clots and be on blood thinner meds which could cause you to bleed. You can stop breathing. You have to be put on a ventilator at the being until you breath on your own. And you are not asleep or sedated all the time when you are on it. Alcohol also leads to street drugs as well. But this program still gives the dam poison to the people which doesn’t help. Like you said the program helps manage their alcohol intake. Its still enabling the people with addictions to drink. Exactly what you learn in AA or Ala-non. Codependency.. This program is saying it’s okay to drink regardless of the damage it does to people.

Happy music for a sad inhumane industry that is producing more green house gasses than any other source. People are making money destroying the planet and every person that eats meat supports the practice and shares in the responsibility. I used to eat meat.

The manure is very beneficial when applied to corn fields. The last that I brought as rec'd tested 42lb N 49 lb P2O5 48 lb K2O per ton. $130 for 13 tons per acre of this will help the Phosphate fertility to produce high yields for years. A percentage point increase in the organic matter will result in the top 3" of soil. Thanks to the cattle feedlots.

I actually ordered a few of these when they were first advertised and there was a respirator shortage. After several delays I asked for a refund which was honoured. Watching this today I'm literally LoL. That was a close call. Besides it being one ugly mask, baking it everyday along with weekly hand washings 😹 not a chance😹
