Alas, the the camera position was both too high and distant, making it problematic to clearly see the ball and obtain a real player- level vision of this enjoyable game. Many moons ago I used to train in Troon, Scotland, with Michael Gooding who was already a more than useful coach and player ! Hope he's in fine fettle.
I think it would be so fascinating to get Federer onto these courts to see how he'd strategize, create angles and generate pressure. He's obviously got the hands and the footwork. Just needs to learn this game. Word is he played a fair amount of squash when he was young, so that would help him. You can see it in his anticipation of shots and how he holds his shots until the last split second. Give him a few weeks to learn the basics of this game and see what he could do. Would be fascinating.
This was how tennis was played before the emergence of Lawn Tennis / Squash in the early 20th century -it hasn't really changed since, thus the wooden racquets, more complex scoring system and indoor court. The world championship, which this game is the oldest "World championship" to be contested in any sport. If you ever get the chance to play I would recommend, it's a fantastic game!
