I unfortunately didn't get a chance to use it with a iPhone or Mac so I'm not sure the experience with that software. I know I had a lot of trouble with the app and ended up just using the camera and pulling the photos off directly. You may have to convert the photos to use them on a Mac.
Bit late to the party but I just picked up a pair of shiny black stories with Brown transition lenses for $150. Did not want to spend the extra for the meta's but wanted primarily a pair of transition Rayban's and to have the cam/vid and speakers is just icing on the cake. The pic and vid might not be as good as my phone, but acceptable especially the fact the glasses do not need to have the phone with them to take pics/vids and I ca pair any Bluetooth device to them to hear music through them. Also again the speakers are not as good as my headphones but it is just nice to listen to stuff through the glasses. Good vid, like n sub.
@@cookiesenabled534 Thanks, for the price I am happy with them, just as Rayban Transitions I am content for $150 but be able to listen to audio and take a few quick snaps/vids is icing on the cake. Appreciate the reply.
Hey, you're in Grand Rapids, aren't you? When you started walking around with the camera, I was thinking that really looks like around here. Then I saw Alpine and realize It is grand rapids.
I don't know the exact amount of time but the higher the resolution the less time you have. I'd say 4 to 6 hours depending on what you're doing. As for sound yes it does record sound but the rubber cover muffles the sound a lot and can cause it to become much quieter than normal.
Try holding the power button for at least 5 to 10 seconds. It should power on after that. If not leave it plugged in all night and try again in the morning. You may have a dud unfortunately.
The ID757 is only 12.1 megapixel and the ID922 is 18 megapixels. They do the same things but the picture quality will be lower on that device. It is cheaper too if you're looking to save money. The ID757 is perfect for 720p videos and pictures but for 1080p or up you'll need the ID922. I hope that helps.
It does not have a built-in speaker for the camera itself. If you want to have sound when you watch the videos back then you need to wirelessly connect the camera to your phone and install the app to watch the videos. The app is really slow and does not load fast but it does work.
Bought from Sams club for $30 a couple weeks ago. I have an android phone and can't download recommended app because app was made for "older" versions of android
Thanks so much. I may have gone a little overboard with the details but this camera has a list of features and I didn't want to miss anything for you all.
Yeah sorry about that. Future videos should be better now that I have fixed most of my audio issues. I may be able to reupload this video at a later time
I was also surprised how well it works underwater. I was shocked at how well it works. Just watch that front lens, it likes to get foggy if the water is cold and the air is hot.
I expected the price to fall a lot but $16 is a steal. I think your videos won't be too bad. I didn't have a bike at the time of recording but it was something I wanted to try. I got to say for the price it's a pretty decent little camera. But don't expect anything magical.
It can be tricky getting to the side port. You have to remove the rubber shell of the camera then you'll see a slit on the right side of the camera you should be able to pull down on the slit to pop open the side of the camera. There you should see the SD card slot and charge port. Hopefully that helps, otherwise you may have a defective camera.
@@cookiesenabled534 thanks. Yes I seen where to open I just couldn't do it. My husband got it open. I charged it and put in sd. I took pictures and it worked, deletes them then tried video. Now it says no SD.??? Yeah maybe defective. Thanks again for your help.
Nice, that's a great deal! This camera is very decent for being under $50. It used to be around the $50 mark but I'm glad to see that it's coming down in price.
Yes the videos do have sound. It's not the best of sounds especially if you have the rubber cover on the camera. Overall it does work but sound is not the best.
@@cookiesenabled534 thank you!! I want it to record memories on vacation, so just enough audio to take me back is enough! :) your video is very helpful
I'm very happy to hear that the video was helpful. I think this camera would be great for family videos and pictures and think the sound shouldn't be an issue as long as it's not super windy or if the camera gets really wet it can effect the microphone but overall, for the price, its a decent little camera.
I didn't seem to notice a difference with the battery at all when I was doing my freezer test but I only had it in the freezer for about 5 to 10 minutes tops. But there wasn't any extra decrease in the battery power versus the water test or any of my other tests. Hopefully you have the same results as me, and I'd like to know how that goes for you.
Did you get like a certain case for it to go underwater? Or does it come out just fine with the little rubber piece, cause i have this camera and another one and the other has to have a certain case around it
This one does not need a special case for water use. You don't even need the rubber one the camera comes with but I suggest it just in case. The one main issue with water use was with the lense. If the water is a vastly different temperature than the camera, the lense will fog up. But the water I tested in was about 70 degrees and the air was in the 90s.
The batteries are built in so make sure you have a backup battery pack for long days of filming. I had no issues filming for a few hours at a time for a few days without having to charge it. It also has an auto shut-off feature to help save battery too.
Was thinking of getting this for my sister. Have a family member going into her room when she's gone... Can it record for long periods or does it automatically shut off?
That is strange. I'd try doing a factory reset on the camera. Then fully charge it up and have the camera clear and format the SD Card. If all that fails to save videos then I'd suggest a exchange it for another if still possible.
No problem and glad I could help. This camera is very decent and I think it would be great for a kids starter Camera. It's not amazing but it will do the trick and should be much cheaper than a GoPro.
@@cookiesenabled534 Ok thanks, I'm still on my search for an HD (true not faux HD) backup camera - since 2016! I know there is a crop of no frills hdmi cameras on amazon for about $100.
Sorry I didn't really get a chance to show that in the video. First you have to download the Polaroid app for your phone and get that set up. Once that's all done you'll turn the Wi-Fi on for the camera and then connect your phone to the Wi-Fi that the camera is outputting. Once that's all done you should be able to access any of the pictures and videos that you've taken from the camera but again the software is really slow. This is one reason why I did not show it in the video is because it would have taken another 20 minutes just to show the software. I strongly recommend people just use the camera features itself and stay away from the whole Wi-Fi connectivity feature unless you absolutely need to use it. I may actually try to do a second part to this video review just to show people that you can't use the Wi-Fi features in the phone but they're not the best and they are super slow.
Thanks again for the kind words I really appreciate that. That hand drawn picture was done back in middle school and I've kept it this long since it's one of my favorite pictures. I'm glad you also liked the camera review I hope they have some more videos this coming year. Sorry for the delay everyone.
Nice that's a good deal and these should be great camera's for kids that want to try something new. Hopefully things go well for you and hopefully they like the cameras
Quick update: One of mines is no more charging after w months. Called the customer service and was asked to ship it at my own expenses down to the US. Repair time should take 4-6 weeks….
I was curious about this device but for $60 you might as well just get a new android phone or a used phone from the last five years that can do 4K, In the video quality with image stabilization should be worlds of better. Just my opinion. -Jesse
Definitely a good option too. If you're trying to get some good 4k video you may want to jump for a used iPhone or Android since it will be about the same price and do way more too. Thanks for the comments we definitely appreciate them.
They should show in color. I used the app a few times and it was slow but I think that was due to the cameras slow processing power. My pictures were in color and videos did play but we're cloppy until I uploaded them from the SD card. Once I had the raw file the pictures were great and videos were pretty good.
That I am not sure of. I imagine there is a setting that will change things back to color for you but I don't remember seeing that option on there. I may suggest exchanging it for another one. It may be the camera itself
I have not tried the Vivitar Action Camera but maybe I'll try and snag one for my next camera review. I'm sorry to hear that yours isn't working the best. I did have several issues with mine too but for under $50 I thought it was decent enough.
@@cookiesenabled534 Thanks for answer me brother, and it would be nice to see your point of view on the Vivitar DVR 922, but I warn you, you will waste money, when the camera is too hot, it records with a cartoon image, it is frustrating to see how horrible the image is , and sometimes I lose entire recordings because of that, I also have a channel where I do some travel vlogs.
Great event! Thought I'd share my sub project with you. It took me 7 years to finish it and dove it in Lake Tahoe's beautifully clear water. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9OhwRip3cCc.html
That is very cool 😎 Thanks for sharing the link with our friends. I appreciate the chance we had to ask questions and see the subs up close. It's definitely one of this channels biggest hits.
Unfortunately the app was extremely clunky and I was only able to get it to actually play videos from the camera maybe once or twice. I think it really depends on the Wi-Fi connection that is attached to and how close you are to it I think it also depends on the file size as well.
