Very nice! The river and lake are the hardest part on disc golf courses to throw disc the right angle on a land. I lost three - four discs in the lake and the river.

I'm a casual DG player and I'm not a rules expert. Why is it a foot fault? Looks like her right foot may be ahead of the disc. Is that why? Helluva tee shot for sure.

So she isn't going to use the right side or the left side because of trees.... but the middle means no chance of trees? LMAO Not how I line up my shots, or at least not my thought process, but whatever works for you.

Not like rounding it's more like building up the power pocket correctly and rotate around around the disc load it up as a spring much like cracking the whip

Event like throwing a baseball or throwing a football, have to rotate as you rotate it

I played Bailey yesterday with a friend. He kept reaching for drivers and I asked him why he doesn't throw putters? He said "I never throw putters off the tee pad", then proceeded to score multiple bogies throughout the round. Anything under 275 can get a putter IMO

Excited the weather is finally back to disc throwing season. I appreciate all the tips you post! My spouse and I are working to get better, mostly measuring progress in the number of trees we hit per hole…

Kara you are awesome. Ive been noticing a lot lately in my longer throw my shots have been hyzering out alot earlier and have been throwing a good 50 feet shorter then normal, turns out my shoulder has been going up. You just fixed my problem! Thank you! YOu got a new subscriber 😊

I, too, started with overstable discs. I really think that really helped my game. It created arm speed. So when I went understable, they just turned over. So I did everything you showed in this video. Very nice.

On other videos, I’ve seen people recommending leaning forward to throw hyzer while leaning back to throw anhyzer. It looks like you don’t lean at all and completely control the angle with your wrist. Is that correct?
@karaleediscgolf
@karaleediscgolf 5 месяцев назад
In my experience, I tend to use my wrist. Sometimes I will lean into it so just depends on the hole.

Great video, and awesome throws! Maybe as a follow-up to this video, you could give a tutorial on how to manipulate the release angle, highlighting the difference between adjusting at the wrist vs. at the waist. Good luck with the channel!

I have a small tip for you young lady, make sure to sunscreen that beautiful skin of yours when the uv is up. Alternatively wear sleeves, I'm 40 and have spent 19 years working in the sun, wore shorts and short sleeve shirts for so long and then in the last 5 years I've actually come to appreciate having to wear long sleeves and pants (was made compulsory) it may seem hotter on the day but at least you won't have radiant heat coming from your skin. Enjoy disc golf but you want to play more, make sure to sunscreen or cover up. Great job kara.

I’m 2-3 weeks in playing Disc golf, and I’m starting to get the hang of throwing an overstable disc with anhyzer. Still working on my backhand. Sometimes I’ll throw the disc to high which results in losing distance with an extreme fade, usually resulting in a “tombstone.” My forehand throw gives me more distance even without the run up because I’m throwing flatter, and with a little anhyzer. Hope this helps someone ✝️

Thanks for the great tips on throwing a hyzer and anhyzer. Also for explaining why you would throw them. I think it's awesome that you show your mistakes so we can see what happens if you throw with too much hyzer, too low, etc.
