Why would your vehicle need more screens? The road is mapped out for you to drive on. Bodies of water are unknowns without electronics. Apples and oranges comparison, but we know you’re just venting for whatever reason.

We need to stick together as anglers and support FFS and technology. I’m hearing rumors of it being banned soon in professional fishing 😢. I speak for fans and anglers. Here we have spent thousands on FFS and FFS lures rods reels etc. if it’s banned on a professional level it would be terrible for the fishing industry. You’re a respected Angler and electronics installer. Trust me the first organization to ban it will seriously regret it. 5 years ago it would have been ok but now that me and the general public as boat ramp tournament anglers and just public anglers in general have spent fortunes on FFS and all that goes with it is what we want to see when we watch and keep up with our favorite pros you being from Ga your one of our favorite pros. We flipped and pitched our whole lives so now that we’re invested we want to watch the pros fish with the same FFS equipment that we have. We need a FFS movement in America and we need it now before it’s banned on a professional level

For the stand alone lithium charger, does he have to plug in 2 plugs or does that charge off of his cranking battery and only have to plug in the PP Charge? Considering this myself but may just put in a charge on the run charger off of my lead acid cranking
Not a fan of the battery choices. A lithium starting battery is a better choice. Power pole charge has been problematic. A 4 bank Minnkota PCL is a much better. choice. The client must want 3 units up front.
In our experiences lithium cranking batteries are incredibly unreliable and due to engine manufacturers still not being clear on lithium verification the safest and most reliable option is an AVM cranking with a stand alone lithium. Best of both worlds in our years of experience and rigging boats. As for the PP charge it works problem free with 36v cells. Individual 12v cells for trolling setup do cause issues due to balancing. If this setup had 3 12v trollers we would of gone with a Noco or MK multi bank charger.
Well done on the video. Finally some better info on these systems. Will look at my setup because of this video. Would like to see more. For improvements...I would like to Humminbird improve some features such as a favourites setting whereby at a specific depth you can have a customised setup eg 10m deep vs 200m deep and saved sounder settings for the depth you are in. Would save doing large adjustments each time you hit a different locality. Would like to see some operating adjustments you go through in different localities if possible? I have found getting the Apex fine tuned problematic at times. Especially in deep water (over 100m)
I hope they ban all the scopes in bass fishing and force the new generation to track and catch fish with traditional bass techniques. This sport has turned into a joke. Umpteen sonars to fish for bass. Get real
Would you guys mind sharing how you wired the charging system for the dedicated electronics battery even though his main charging system in a power pole charge? I am getting ready to do this myself, and I think I am just going to connect a run and gun charger to it off of my cranking battery but didnt know if there were better options for single plug charging
Out of curiosity what does some like this cost to do? We all know what graphs and batteries cost but what gets charged to rig and set up a boat like this with all the labor?
Two or three days of rigging a boat like this is unreal, I just had my new 2024 Skeeter FXR 20 rigged I had all of my own equipment just to install except the sea clear but I’m running a Garmin 12’ live up front with an Hummingbird 15’ and I’m running two 12’ Hummingbird on the dash had batteries installed and it cost me $4300 out the door I’m definitely in the wrong business
Curious what the reason is,for using AGMs? I have AGM cranking on mine because I don’t know if lithium is okay for optmax. But he clearly has a four stroke and those are for his electronics anyway.
With the alternator being so powerful on the SHO, it doesn’t quite get along with lithiums and has a better relationship with the AGMs. Yamaha does not recommend running a lithium cranking battery for this reason.
I can tell you that lithiums in the back of a skeeter actually make the boat handle not so well. Skeeters love the weight in the back .You can tell a huge difference in speed and handling when you use them.
On our website when you go to the harness builder you will want to select 1 Bow and 1 Module. From there select the lightning connector which will provide the connectors for each dedicated line. Hope this helps! Link to the harness builder is in the description of the video.
