An excellent aide memoire for where the 'good' spots are :) About the only thing I could suggest to improve the vid is some time stamps for particular bits. I am only a third of the way in and have not yet been surprised but it's very good to be reminded :D I thought *I* was an alto-holic with 26 characters but you have me well beaten on that score! For me, what brings in the most cash is the two characters I have in the Bjora's - one in the West Half and one in the East. I do a full gathering clear every day and with the other gathering Alts I have boosting my Volatile Magic that means I can do a couple of Trophy Shipments batches a week, totalling a hundred boxes. Obviously the results are market dependent so things vary but I generally clear about 300 Gold a week if I am diligent. Of course the downside is that all the Gold making means that actual play gets curtailed so it's a balancing act.
@capolot I may have purchased a few with money a long time ago, before HoT launched, but since I started playing again 4 years or so ago, it's all been through converting gold to gems. I get all my cosmetic stuff that way too. The only $ I've spent since then is on expansions for my account (and lw seasons 3 and 4 when I started playing again for my account) and the one account that used to belong to my ex. It's gold for everything or bust.
That is the Prototype Position Rewinder. You can pick it up in Sandswept Isles (LW season 4 episode 2) for 75 Difluorite Crystals and 175k karma from the heart vendor Hafren. Its incredibly useful for jumping puzzles and daily farming.

Rated and Ranked multi-boxing is explicitly against the ToS, so you technically could, but I would never recommend that. The only reason I use custom arenas is because they explicitly allow multi-boxing in them.
This helped me alot for the gated materials so thanks for that. What would you say is the best gold per time spent of all these spots (partially taking into account apm also) for after im done with the gated mats? I was thinking the kudzu garden since i have volatile tools and that spot looks extrememly convenient and fast, nearly a full trophy bag per character
Secret Garden is probably the best return if you have done the Kudzu precursor crafting. I dont know if Id recommend that if you just wanted to use it for money and didnt care about the precursor (which is 20% of the cost to buy vs its craft cost, which doesnt take the time spent into account). Do note, the garden is once per day per account, where most node clusters are per character. If you have a bunch of characters to drop, flax farms or the iron/plat nodes in Thunderhead are very good. Bjora March chest farming is a close second, and never sleep on the ease of the VB flax and Seitung Harbor node (not shown in this video) farm, even though they arent AS good. I personally try and maximize the non-tradable currency, including alts parked in places I dont travel by normally, which is why I have alts in skywatch and the west half of inner nayos, but not in Amnytas, since the greater chests are easily accessible during/after the downtime in the meta, where skywatch and 2 of the nayos chests are not. I may do an updated video showing all of the possible spots off, including which ones you can toss any level alt at.
@Barraind.Faylestar oh darn I didn't know the precursor garden was from the actual completion, figured it was a point u unlock during crafting the precursor like i had to go to certain areas for the ravens, dang. I'll try the thunderhead farm for now but thats a really good point about travel you made, cause if im gonna go to them inevitably, having something parked on those types of spots will save more time and convenience than purely hopping on others for material/gold farming. Ill probably look into what i plan long-term to decide then come back to the video so thanks again
My main account is at ~35 or so. 1 of each class with everything unlocked to do raids and strikes with (between 4 and 8 builds made on each), and the rest were made before they started giving away template expansions, or created mostly for storage. Currently, I only actively play 3 or 4, I'm in engi jail for raids, and my strikes group has me on hscourge for Cerus CM/LM. I mosty open-world on Reaper,and I keep an asura engi with different scrapper builds for doing festival races / jp's
Hey there, your vid explanation is too vague for understanding what you do on these alt accounts. Probably intentional but then why post about it ? You certainly are illustrating that alt account farming is overly profitable but you also paid for 68 accounts plus have to play on them to get the rewards. Could have spent the same money in gems and been blasting and having fun the whole time.
I spoke about what the process was in the first couple videos, but theres a couple major things: 1. I paid for 1 of them (the alt account I play for raids and strikes), the rest were all obtained through Heroic codes, in this case, the NVIDIA GeForce now promotion. 2. The alts get stuffed into a custom arena for ~30-45 minutes each week, in batches of 6, while I comb through the AH and organize bags, at which time, they have, usually, finished the PvP wizards vault weekly. Usually, this is done while I'm working on writing or consulting projects, so it doesnt really take a lot of focus, and i wouldnt really be doing anything intensive in that time anyway. Thanks for the feedback though, ill keep in mind that I probably need to have a recap if I split things into multiple videos again (or learn how to edit these)
Also for the secondary objective on capricorn, you can give admin to your accounts and move them all onto the winning team towards the end after youve claimed the cannon, and it gives credit to every account
@@Barraind.Faylestar My bad, using your superior method, you can't move everyone to the winning team cause you're using your custom arena to keep the 3v3 from losing progression. I guess you can swap it just for capricorn and then go back if you don't do dailies every day.
Im currently doing pvp dailies (~1 game a day to also progress my weekly) on 12 accounts doing 6v6 on conquest. Your method seems straight up signficantly easier even if its only limited to 6 accounts at a time. Is the secondary objective the only one you have to go out of your way to complete for dailies/weeklies cause ill go change my custom arena ASAP if true
Secondary objective needs you do do it there, theres also one thats for killing 3 players while defending a point which has to be done in Capricorn, but I think thats been changed to rated only,, because I havent seen it for a couple months now.
@@Barraind.Faylestar appreciate the response, I believe the 'defeat 3 while defending capture point' one is actually completable in custom arenas despite the description since I'm fairly certain I completed that one last week on capricorn. Another question I have is how did you level all your heroic accounts? I purchased 12 PoF keys on sale which wasn't bad but certainly don't want to pay for 60 accounts. If anyone ever does another mass heroic giveaway I definitely pick up some (I missed the last nvidia one, and the prices on grey market sites are more than official PoF keys), but leveling seems super tedious even with the character adventure guide.
Repeatable Maguuma Wastes. I would probably recommend doing the jungle X reward tracks, which get unlocked every 10 levels, and anything else that gives keys (a few of those are locked to having expansions) before you do that full time.
who claimed alt farming is dead? some people were worried about it killing it, and maybe it did for people with 50+ accounts (since all they needed to do for income was literally just log in) but to me it made alt farming the most viable it's ever been. you just have to actually play the game on the alt for more than 2 seconds.
I see it brought up on the forums and reddit every now and then in cycles. Usually as the answer to questions like "why are mc prices spiking" any time they go over 2g

The why is because right now, it ends up being at least 15 or 20x the return for the time invested of the absolute best gold farming you can do in the same amount of time.
Agree with everything you said in those videos. I am lazy to set up alts so I only do easy pve dailies. But how do you get 1 laurel per day? 150 from WV and 10 from weeklies but there is no daily laurel, or am I missing something?
I am just a derp who cant read my own notes sometimes about what stuff averages out to. The laurel count ended up correct with what I ended up transferring over, the process just got jumbled a bit.
68 accounts that just get used for WV rewards + one account I made for my girlfriend when she said she wanted to play before she passed that I keep up to date.
Just to clarify your comments on the Wizard's Vault settings [1:00]: You can pick one of the three options (PvE, PvP, or WvW), or you can pick more than one, in which case your Daily and Weekly goals will be a mixture of the game modes you selected.
Do you use Blish Hud? I noticed on one of your previous videos you have a throw away character to put gear on that you have to type in the name to delete. Blish has a QOL addon that will autonatically copy the item name when you try to throw it away.
The lucent crystals are valuable to make legendary sigels and runes. I wish they would update the eaters to make them better and eat more items that waste bag space.
@@Barraind.Faylestar I will eventually make the 7th legendary rune and four more sigils for undewater gear. I switched to my rev and setup Herald but not getting a quickness buff. What am I missing?
@@dewilton7712 Heralds quickness comes from having the Elevated Compassion trait (top GM trait) and running at an energy deficit. For harvesting runs on heralds, I tend to throw on the facets for regen (-1), swiftness (-1) , and one of the other -2 cost, then the boon duration facet, for a total expenditure of 6 (which is a net -1).
Now that we're done with holiday season in DivReach, I'll probably be doing that. I do kinda like the cozy alleyways of Salma district, but Rata is a lot faster
I've thought about adding a few more JP's , but with the new part of Inner Nayos, and it seeming like you can open more than 12 total greater chests per day now, I've stuffed a couple alts in the far corners of that map. Once I get all the map currency I need from skywatch (soon!), I'll be moving stuff around
