As a New Zealander... I was soo dissapointed to hear that all 4 hobbits (with the most screen time) - actually got paid the least for all 3 films in the first trilogy. These 4's take home was in the thousands -and less than 10k each as well. That is just outright wrong.
Go back to Survivor: All Stars. The water in the well was contaminated. They needed fire to boil it and turn it into clean water. They didnt have clean water for the first 3 or 4 episodes. I remember Rudy drinking the dirty water like a real survivor. Now the producers give the players fresh water at the start. So the fact that Jeff has the nerve to say that the "new era" of survivor is harder and more deprived from old survivor is laughable. Survivor Africa had lion encounters and buffalo encounters. Am i the only one that is annoyed by the new era of "the hardest seasons ever?"
To those wondering if they will come back: They will not return. Dom(merry) answered on his instagram to the question Will the friendship onion return? in which he stated: ("No they stole our money. No one works for free"). And he is right in that sense. new things could come to fruition but the friendship onion is apparently dead. Billy and dom don't have the rights of the podcast, and it's a shame, I just "discovered" The friendship Onion this month, and I love lotr, I was having a blast to know even a bit more of each of the characters on the movie and their experiences and not only that but things like league of legends or what food taste better are amusing as well. Like christopher lee using a pen as if it was a knife, I could spend days just listening because they're really interesting people that are different from each other. And the journey they have been through making one of the best trilogies in the world and basically revitalizing the whole fantasy niche is pretty amazing. I feel bad watching the friendship onion because I know none of it will go to who truly deserves. To combat excessive capsaicin dosage, swish oil or fat in the mouth without swallowing. A couple desertspoons of olive oil will do. Swish for 5 mins then spit out. The capsaicin is fat soluble. Really works

I discover this podcast 2 or 3 days before today. And it's best pod i've seen. It's basically live theater. First of all they are great actors. Second - it feels like they dont bother. They know their work, but they are so free. They can discuss LoL anytime, or LoTR or any thing that comes to their mind. And it's very theatrical. Their duo reminds me more kind version of "Dumb and dumber" or in more higer tone - the duo from "Waiting for Godot". But the greates part - it's live not pre-scripted or prewritten(in most part as I feel). Pure gem and with 38k views is so underrated.
As a gen z who plays League of Legends, and just recently got into and obsessing over The Lord of the Rings, I love how Billy and Dom passionately talks about LOL. Never knew I would relate to them so much. I really love the hobbits squad 😭
Oh man... i was watching an Orlando Bloom interview and wondered if he ever hung out with his 4-hobbit costars, then i went to the gym and ran into Billy in the locker room (Pippin) I was fan boying.... just staring and he thought he had sprayed some deoderant on me by mistake or something. I just said Hi nice to meet you! and he said the same. Now my friend just sent me this podcast.....so I'm a new subscriber!
