The Agrupación Folklórica Alcazaba was founded in 1992 and was recognised as a cultural association in 1995. Our aim is to be a folklore group of the 21st century. Our aim is the research, conservation, recovery, teaching and dissemination of the ethnography of the province of Almeria and the Andalusian Community. We are culture of the past and of the present in the future so that the next generations will find the greatest possible legacy. At present, we are more than 60 members who contribute our talents, competences, knowledge and skills to allow us to develop in the design and creation of costumes as well as in the artistic and formative aspects in all their aspects. We are nourished by a school where all this knowledge is taught to new members of the group. They are our struggle and our treasure. We are a group with an extensive and proven track record of performances both nationally and internationally.
