I'm not sure if you monitor this any longer. But my DPI keeps setting it's self to 800-DPI. I've done all the cleaning I can do from the outside, it doesn't fall like a button issue, soI'm going to open it up and see if there is something causing continuous contact, hoping it's not the DPI module 😞 My question is - what spray do you use to assist breaking down the adhesive of the original tape - I have the tape to replace, but would love to know the spray you use...
hi there, thank you for your video! my mouse started to not turn on at times and after following the video and opening it, found the spring at the battery to be a little corroded. after cleaning it and clearing out some dust at the mouse wheel, it is working good as new! awesome work with the video and keep it up!
Uses a cheapo wheel encoder for the middle wheel. Slowly fails after a year or two by skipping and/or reversing. The encoder itself is tricky to take apart, but it needs regular cleaning to restore proper functionality.
I loved my silent+ M331 for almost 3 years. When the rubber casing started to tear down, I was to buy another one, but instead I checked out the un-silent M275 because it has the same shape. My crazy idea is to put the silent tech into my M275 but I don't know how until I found your video!. It's work just perfectly fine because it has the same model & shape, the difference is just one small screw in M331 but I think we can ignore it. Thanks for the video!
great vid man i have been meaning to replace the wheel on mine for ages now and couldn't find a good video that shows how and yours solved that THANK YOU!!
I can't find any screwdriver that is small enough and that have the good shape, what can i use instead ? Because i can't play a lot of game and i really don't want to buy another mouse. Thanks :)
i changed both microswitches, and now the led doesn't light up. i guess the batteries are discharged because i hadn't used it for many months. the curious thing is that all the buttons work.
Make sure to alcohol wipe the rubber part of the body. This unit has capacitive sensors and if sensing is not reliable due to skin oil and dirt buildup, it could cause the firmware to go crazy...
