4:05; I would like to try this myself; but I have a question. I'm positive entirely I can pick the door up without shattering my window. However, I am fortunate and greateful enough to be an Audi Owner, but am entirely too poor to afford a brand new window (or replacement) and if you see this comment before I get an answer or figure it out; is there an option to roll DOWN your window PRIOR to taking the door pannel off? Someone smashed my Driver's Side Mirror; which is why I'm looking this up. I'm going to be super sad if I break my window. If you see this; can you let me know if there's any reason I CANT or SHOULD NOT roll down my window PRIOR to taking off the door pannel? I super don't want to break my window. THANKS. I hope you see this!
I mean you can remove door panel with window rolled down but how are you going to reach to mirror bolts and cables? unless you remove door panel, roll window back up and only then disconnect the door panel. Idk, kinda unnecessary work but its up to you.
Hi; I'm a new subscriber. I have an Audi TT Quattro; but it's not this exact year. However, you have a video posted I was looking for: one without the requirement of removal of just the mirror of itself. I hope your channel continues to thrive. I also turned on All notifications. I'm currently taking notes. I don't know for sure since this is a 2019 Audi RS5 and I own a Audi TT Quattro, but I'm here for learning purposes; I'm guessing you know more than me about Audi's. I'm just here to learn. Thank you for posting a video on how to actually take it all the way off. As an #AudiClubOwner myself, I know that VW and Audi's leave little to no room, and I hate taking out the pins. #Audi.
Hi Thanks, great video, I have almost removed the Mirrors on my 458 but I cannot get to the wiring to disconnect ?? there seems to be several connectors which are clipped to inside of the door panel which I cannot see how to undo, can you help, Thanks Regards Eddie
It’s weird that’s Audi skipped on putting Acoustic cotton in the door panels of the A4/A5 for more sound isolation. Even the A3 has acoustic cotton in the door panels
Hi, I got really confused by the black clips. I’ve managed to undo the first one but could not locate the second one and had to put everything back together. Any help? Appreciate it
First video I watched where someone put tape or protection around the emblem. That’s how I’d do it too, especially with the heat gun so you don’t over heat the paint too.
Man understand that removing every panel to wrap a car properly must be done but I just hate the idea of taking panels apart unless absolutely needed. I've seen some good wraps done without the removal but who knows how long they last as they obviously don't have as good of a seal.
The rear side turn signal bulb can replace to amber led bulb? I would like to change res bulb to amber. I can see it there is blue taps of cover, it looks bulb parts, i dont know it can be removal to switch other kinds of buld.
Thank you for the explanation. I hit a bird with my right headlight and the pane broke. Tomorrow it will be exchanged at the Porsche center. They said to me that the bumper needs to be removed. Nonsense. I estimated that it is dismantled either through the trunk or the wheelhouse liner. That's why I searched the net and found your video. Thank you guys!! Greetings from Munich..
Hi that’s great info , I’ve got a Q5 on a 2019 and I need to change the indicator, does the mirror pop out from the bottom as with the older models or do you need to strip the door card out to remove the whole mirror , if so how do you strip the mirror Thanks Si
@@sincutti Unfortunately, no. I was able (thanks to this video) to confirm the two connectors were fully seated. The light part of the marker works, but the camera is dead. I've heard about four cases where these cameras died. Maybe there was a bad batch.
@@einfussganger Seems like we're both included in the bad batch. Mine has been to the SC and they have ordered a new camera but there is no timescale on it... Slow.
@@sincutti They're looking at mine tomorrow. I imagine I will also have to wait. There are a few available on eBay from salvage companies, but they are "as is" and unreturnable, so that would be a roll of the dice to go that route.
@@einfussganger I waited with the car for 3 hours for them to tell me that the part will need to be ordered in! Not ideal. I've actually bought one from eBay where luckily there is a return policy for 30 days so I'm going to go down that route - At least until Tesla eventually contact me about the ordered camera. I bought EAP ready to use NoA and then the following day the camera fails leaving me with no NoA, sods law! Hope yours gets fixed soon. 👍
