I travel a lot. Formerly airplanes and hotels (as you can tell by the many take off and landing videos, as well as hotel room tours) and now living in a Forest River R-Pod 192 travel trailer with my husband and my dog. I've swapped fancy hotels for campgrounds and secret camping spots. And have many tips and tricks about living full-time in a small travel trailer.
I also have a blog: www.solesofmytravelingshoes.com
We are going on August 31 for 9 days and I am so happy I found your video, no one shows the sites, and I was concerned on how mine will look like. I actually reserved site 6, the fully fenced, and site 7 for my in-laws that come with the other RV. thanks to your video I do have an idea now on how they look. Wonder how long is site 6, I have a 36 foot motorhome, and also how level are the sites, they don't seem to be much. Anyway, glad I found your video, and is not old like some that have 7 years...lol. I you don't ming, how was the weather? consider I will be there a month earlier than when you were there.
@@rubenalsina you're going to have a great time. The sites were level enough, but I always expect to use a leveler when we get to a site. I do not know the length of site 6, but I do remember a pretty big (maybe 36ft) trailer at that site. Glad my video helped!! That's why I make them :)
While those unclogger tools are great on traditional P trap drains, most RV showers have a waterless trap that uses a rubber membrane that stays closed until water runs through it, and stays closed all other times. By running that type of drain cleaning rod, you can actually damage or reverse the membrane, which can cause gasses to get into the shower or actually stop the drain. Just a warning…
Oh yeah, I was super careful doing it for that reason. It's a risk/reward thing as we needed it to drain but I was not willing to take everything apart.
Thank you. Why are the manuals they give you so useless? It says to clean the filter, but gives no instructions for how. Since you appear to have the same unit as me, should I leave that door open? Is it one of the vents? Took me a month to realize those other doors were extra vents and, according to the manual at least 2 should be open??Again, it’s difficult to discern because it mentions 2 different types of vents, but doesn’t include a diagram showing where they are. And my orientation at Camping World didn’t cover any of this. They just showed me the dials for turning it on and adjusting the temperature. Anything else I should know?
Thank you so very much for making this video! We bought our first camper this spring in are living in a full time, and had no idea how to do this. You made it so simple 👏
Thank you! Great review because it's a truly honest review on how y'all live in it. The storage under the dinette is awesome! There seems to be more storage in your model than the larger/longer Rpod models. 🙂
I bought them on Amazon. The shampoo one finally fell - we left shampoo in it during 100+ heat and really high humidity when we flew somewhere for the week. But it was on for about 16,000 miles and 13 months? The others are still going strong.
I go here a lot, last time 2 weeks ago saw dozens of burros with babies, I usually go on Wed and stay the night and its quiet, too quiet for me, I want to go on the weekend one of these days. MY Hyundia Accent makes it with ease. I have a spot that you can't get an Rv.
Great video! Thank you. Just purchased a Forrest River R-Pod and was wondering about this. I could read the manuals but I'm a visual guy and prefer the videos. Looking forward to our first camping trip in an rpod this season.
Ok so my problem is that my hose is connected but I can't get it disconnected!! I have search for help online and can't find what I need. What could be preventing it from coming off? Does the water supply need to be shut off? Does pressure in the lines affect it? Please help
