ya i watch all the offroad channels and just laugh at how bad they are. if not for the multi-mode traction settings, lockers and people holding their fucking hands, none of them would know what to fucking do or how to crawl over rocks.
As I watch this I'm noticing some cool things here. Starting in gear, and the fact most of these are manuals. Lots of gear in those smaller jeeps, and trash bags on the rear long before sak-its or trasharoos. I also like cameras with zooms, something go pros lack.
@@cw50must Yes, the manual was the preferred trans in those days.... I still run a manual today, no clutch, start and stop in gear. The blue CJ7 was running about 74 to 1 in low range. Today I prefer 85 to 130 to 1 for a manual.
@@hrdrokn i used to drive those trails in California in my 74 cj5 on 31s. This was early 90s. Have the trails gotten significantly harder? Like from erosion and being driven?
Man, thanks for sharing! brings back memories of the pre-pirates era, stock-ish rigs and tons of fun!! Haven't seen so many chrome covers on Dana 30's in at least 25 years HaHa! After wheeling many years with big tires, ect. just ran the Rubicon again 3 weeks ago on 7.50-16 bias plies, and had a BLAST!
What size boat is it pushing? I currently have the same 90 horse with a 17 pitch 13 prop and I own a 13x18 by gift? My boat is 16.6 aluminum? I might have good luck switching to the 19😊😊😊😊😊❤️🇺🇸
