I would really like to see a Rufus Scrimgeour minifigure. He was the minister for magic after Cornelius Fudge and before Pius Thicknesse. If we had him we would have all of the ministers for magic. Also Luna’s dad Xenophilius Lovegood would be cool to have. Really great and informative video though, you have a huge collection
What’s the deal with bs short non movable legs with the hagrids hut set. My fiancé got the set and was so disappointed they couldn’t sit and walk around
@@valuecat those are the “short legs” and what we usually see with HP characters in years 1-2 as well as kids /younger character in Lego city and other themes sets… mid legs we see for HP characters in years 3-4 and then students in years 5-7 we usually see the normal Minifigure legs. I hated the short legs for a while, but eventually just got used to it - but i agree they can’t “sit” and instead stand on a chair, which is weird
You can definitely do that with the original Hogwarts Castle, but that chamber of secrets is sooooo good. I got it NIB on EBay for 80 bucks about 2 years ago and it’s still one of my favorite sets from LEGO Harry Potter !! If you’re interested definitely keep and eye out!!
This video is absolutely amazing - it must have been a lot of work to put together and it was brilliant, you explained everything so well and I thoroughly enjoyed watching 😊
Thanks so much, I am glad you enjoyed it! I will be honest, it did take much longer than expected. I edited as I was filming and had hit the hour mark with only about 1/2 characters done and realized this would be a looong video! It was fun to pull all the sets and figures out and I had never compared them in this way before so I noticed a lot of new stuff I hadn’t realized before with some of the figures!
Disney should do a Haunted Mansion Live action 2022, Sanctum Sanctorum D2c sized set. It could come with the main cast and the Hatbox ghost minifig would be epic!
@@187thProductions it falls apart for me with the lack of skirt print … legit it’s alll she needs (and maybe some stronger face prints to look crazy imo!! )
We really need an updated version of Michael Gambon’s Dumbledore. The only two times we got that version of Dumbledore in the LEGO Harry Potter reboot line of sets were in the first Harry Potter minifigure series from 2018 and in the Hogwarts Clocktower set from 2019. Every other version of Dumbledore released since then has been based off Richard Harris’ Dumbledore. Considering how much detail they gave to Dumbledore by giving him arm printing in this year’s Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall set, I really want to see the same thing done with an updated Michael Gambon Dumbledore minifigure.
I agree and I really hope they expand in that with this 2024 new castle system or Hogwarts! I also appreciate all the detail in your comment about the actors and past iterations!!
@@marissarice3666 CMF stands for collectible minifigure series. About 3 sets/series are released each year and Harry Potter has had a CMF series twice - so we’ve got a lot of great detailed characters. They were released in blind bags (foil pouches ) instead of actual sets. Now the CMF figures come in boxes so you can’t feel the bag to determine what character is inside… but there are a few apps now where you can scan the bar code to determine the character inside - which is what I did with the newest Dungeons and Dragons CMF that was released September 2024!
While the builds in this Advent Calendar may not be anything we've never gotten before, I think that the LEGO Harry Potter advent calendars are usually the best LEGO advent calendars in terms of new prints. Each one of the 7 minifigures in this advent calendar has at least one new print. Compare that to this year's Marvel advent calendar, which only has two new printed parts (one for Miles Morales' torso and one for the Spider-Ham snowman). This LEGO Harry Potter advent calendar definitely does not disappoint in terms of minifigures, especially with that amazing choir ghost minifigure, and a really detailed Dumbledore minifigure.
The first Actor died, so they had to change him. There was no choice sadly. It is the same with Dumbledore. Really sad, because I liked the first characters more.
@@Mamba.Sport.Cards8 absolutely! I was thinking of doing my favorite (or top few) from each year! Which naturally would lead to a video on my least favorites 🤪
I'm also thinking of getting these! They are cool art prints that would fit perfectly on a LEGO Harry Potter fan's collection! Just curious, do they come with any protective covering or maybe an envelope when they were ship to you?
They were wrapped in thin plastic- similar to LEGO build bags from sets. I had ordered a large set with these so they were flat / fine, but I would be curious if they would include a cardboard backing in a smaller package…
What would be some of your top picks for each year? I can see that about the express (could have been better - but I was just so thankful for a hogsmeade expansion …). But I love the Black Lake!
There was a motorized Hogwarts Express released in 2004 and many of the buildable creatures (Fawxes, Hedwig and Hungarian Horntail) have a mechanism where they can “move their wings.” Other than that there are small play features where things “move” with a lever. The clock tower, devils snare, 2nd task Black Lake platform are a few examples! Is that what you meant? If so, I can share more sets with this types of play features !
@@187thProductions yes, we got an Aragog spider set in 2002 and a Hut in 2001… The spider set came with a 1/4 size base plate which was really neat at the time!
@@Dphillip2929 thank you so much! I couldn’t figure it out, but am now enjoying reading about it and it all seems familiar, but I couldn’t place it! Haha
@@maulsmoc1247 the anticipation helped too … it was overdue, but I’m glad they waited to make it as grand as they did … and the vault exceeded my expectations !!
@@FrightKnightsFan886 Rivendell is so tempting! I was never huge into LOTR… back in the day I owned exactly 1 LOTR sets because I thought it was cool… and that was The Council of Elrond… so clearly I’m obsessed with Rivendell - I hope you are able to get it with a massive points discount - the build is so detailed and intricate and something I still may have to add to my collection!!
Are you going to have them framed? I feel like a modern black wooden frame would look great with your shelves. I'm thinking about getting something like the Knoppäng frame from ikea for these, a sort of modern Gothic vibe 😅
You should totally apply for the Lego ambassador network, next year, as in order to apply, your channel/social media must be Lego content, family friendly, and your account must be 1 year old, so once your channel has been 1 year old, I think you should apply, as I think you'd be a great Lego Ambassador!
2020 was the first Harry Potter wave I bought when it came out! A lot of great sets, Diagon alley, the astronomy tower, privet drive, the 2020 burrow etc
@@miguelverde8730 thanks! These are some fun sets and I forget how much I like the builds… I may have checked eBay to investigate the original and retired earlier line… but not adding any of those… yet 🤣
